Back On Track Together
I NEED HELP
Have been told I must eat 1000 calories/day for six weeks. What can I eat that will add up to that many calories, but will not exceed 80 grams of protein and will keep carbs low. So far, I've only been able to get up to 799 calories. I know this may seem like utopia but it is h-l- for me right now. LOL I know you all do this so there's a way - I just haven't found it yet
Hi HappyLapBander,
I have a meeting I need to run to this morning. I was posting the C&C and saw your post. I didn't want to not respond to you when I saw it. I'm sure you'll get some responses from our BOTT friends. I'll post after my meetings.
Take care, Cathy

High cal low carb/healthier foods include beef, cheeses(I liked Laughing Cow), eggs and oils (olive, sunflower/peanut). I learned this when I was on my all protein diet the last few weeks. Try plugging those into your calorie tracker and see if they help. Best of luck!

Hi HappyLapBander,
Use olive oil in your cooking such as for veggies. You could also eat cheese as that is low carb and, depending on the cheese, higher in calories. Another option would be peanut butter.
I commend you for being so conscientuous.

So...... regular peanut butter would be better than PB2 (I do so love PB2)
I have to laugh because I don't cook - if it can't be nuked, I don't eat it and the idea of putting oil on veggies kind of makes me gag
Am going to add in some cheese, but I have the of a time with constipation (gentle remedies do not good whatsoever unfortunately) that I have to be very cautious with cheese.
Thanks so much for your help - I WILL get this figured out!!!

Wow Cathy!... I feel a little vindicated because our suggestions were practically identical. Looks like I really did learn something over those 2 weeks!
