Hi BOTTers,

One month from today my sons are out of school.  They are very excited.  Time sure goes by so fast.  I heard somewhere that when you are a kid that time goes by so slow and when you're an adult that time goes by very quickly.  I would have to agree with that.

My older son will be completing his last year in junior high and my younger son starts middle school.  To me, they are still in preschool!  I saw a commercial the other day that fits me perfectly.  There are two kids, a boy and a girl, with their father.  The girl (about 10) is asking for the keys to the car.  Then it shows that it is actually a teenage girl.  Then the boy grabs his jacket and tells his father he's going to work.  Again, a teenager.  From the father's perspective, it shows he still sees his teenage children as much younger.  That's me!!  I treasure my time with them because they are only this age for such a short time.

Here's my check-in:

CARDIO:  Walking dvd.

FOOD:

B - Cottage cheese
S - String cheese
L - CLICK and vegetable strips
S - Cinnamon Toast Pretzels
D - Grilled chicken with grilled vegetables and 1/2 small sweet potato
S - Power Crunch bar

Have a terrific Tuesday as we BOTT.  It has made such a difference to me and my own program to know that all of us are in this together!

Cathy, have you discovered one of life's great mysteries yet?  It is, how do your children grow older when you do not?

Well this 1000 calories a day thing is quite a challenge.  Haven't got it all put together yet.  Just learned from Dr. Lord's nurse this morning that any excess protein one consumes is stored as fat.  Ugh   Today I will have excess - 94 grams.  She said I could probably eat 80 grams and be OK - otherwise I will need to exercise like crazy.  Well, can't do much about today as I don't have grocery time - nor exercise time either.  But will do better tomorrow.

B - Oatmeal and Unjury
S - Pudding
L - Cottage cheese & 1/2 banana
D - 1/2 crawfish/pork sausage & green beans
S - Soy milk & Unjury

All are favorite foods - but just a bit too much protein   Tomorrow will  better I promise - I will get this right!.

I was never blessed with children but I do have a nephew who seems to have grown up overnight.  It was a little unsettling to see him drive up in his own car a few weeks ago.  Of course he was beaming from ear to ear as he stepped out of his 10 year old Altima.  He was in heaven while all that I could think of was "when did he get old enough to drive?!?"  I've been in children's ministry for 15 years now and it's a wake up call when you see the children you once taught in 4Th grade getting married and having babies.  Time is short but the memories keep you young at heart!

I had a horrible day with my eating yesterday.  I snacked on too many cashews and pork rinds.  I'm going to have a protein day today.

Cardio - 1/2 hour elliptical 1/2 hour treadmill

Food:
B - Cajun Egg White Scramble
S - Strawberry Protein Shake
L - Smoked Sausage Bean Soup
S - Plum
D - Isopure Protein Drink
S - String Cheese

Calories = 1005  Fats = 38  Carbs = 45 Proteins = 123

Have a blessed day!

No kids yet here... someday soon tho I hope. In a few years when we're finally settled in a place. But his neices and nephews certainly grow up fast. I keep telling them to quit it. They never listen, little urchins.

Didn't hit the gym today, I have no very GOOD excuse, except I got my new 16 gig SD card for my phone and filled it with music and sewed some of my current project while I waited for it to upload. I'm now a sewing addict. Morning and night. I drempt about sewing last night. It was a horrible nightmare that my current project fell to pieces because I didn't use any trim. You can bet I will be looking to invest in some trim this week.

Food for the day

B - 1/2 serving of Banana Chike (WOW that stuff was amazing)
S - Last of the left over chilli con carne
L - Left over pot roast or Healthy Choice Steamer thingie
S - Trail mix bar
D - Left over pot roast or taco meat.

Was a bad bad girl yesterday and barely had any water. I'll be indulging today.
