Thanks for all the encouragement last week. I tried to do the 5 DPT and lasted 3 days but I still lost 6 pounds since last Monday with reasonable eating over the weekend. Am going to try it again for a few days. At least stay away from grazing and evil carbs. After glancing at some other posts about health issues ya'll are having I feel like a whiner. My RNY has treated me pretty well... I think... I stuggle with fatigue and depression but think it is more self inflicted than physically related to the surgery. And yes distractions of hobbies etc. are good except when I am in "crazy addict" mode I don't slow down for five minutes to defuse myself. Need to be willing to do that.

YAY - you made it through three whole days - that's GREAT.  Don't look at it as not reaching the five days, but as a success at making three days - AND losing 6 pounds.

I'm sure you are going to do just as well the next time you go for it :o)  Aim for the three days and if you go further then it's  bonus...

You've got my curiosity peaked big time about the 5DPT. I look forward to trying it. Heck if you lost six lbs... that is one of the best kept secrets to success. Keep up the great effort.
