Back On Track Together
Eating the calories you burn.
Is it inefficient or expected? Do you need to keep those calories from your body to lose or will not eating them throw it into starvation mode, causing no loss? Do you eat the calories you burn? I burned nearly 600 today, and come to find, just eating when it felt right, I have already consumed 1000 calories of a heavy protein diet today. Is this bad? Good?

36 lbs from goal!
You say you burned 600 calories and consumed 1000 calories. Were those 600 calories what you burned in exercise? I'll bet you burned more than 600 calories. You can burn 127 calories sitting in a recliner reading for an hour. People make the mistake of thinking that the only calories you burn is what you burn during exercise. You burn calories in everything you do. Eight hours of working in front of a computer burns 1800 calories in eight hours. What you have to remember is that you must burn 3500 calories over what you consume to lose a pound. (Ask.com)
The Bodybug is an awesome tool to help measure calories burn vs. calories ingested. The problem is that it is a little expensive. I use a free web site called Calorie Count that allows you to journal not only your calorie intake but also your calories burned. You input all of your activities; shopping, hunting, gardening, exercising, work. It then give you an accurate picture of where you are at when it come to loosing weight. As you star****ching the numbers, you'll find that on the days you loose weight, you are burning a lot more calories than you think. That's why the folks on the Biggest Loser drop the weight so quickly. They are limiting their intake and burning a unreal amount of calories throughout the day. Give it a try and I bet you'll find that just a little extra effort will make a difference.
Hope this helps,

Hi!
I just got my bodybugg this past week and have been experimenting with different exercises and calorie intake. My hubby and I are disagreeing on some of the output and I am waiting to talk to my BB advisor to answer our questions. I'll talk to her on Monday and will find out the answer to this question.
