Greeting Everyone!
This is one of my trouble days with work and a men's Bible study in the evening. We usually meet at a local Mexican Restaurant which is a huge temptation for me. Tonight, my wife is feeding everyone with a pot of pintos cooked with smoked turkey. To help with this day, I'm going to fill up on protein throughout the day.
B - Egg White Cajun Omelet
S - Coffee Protein Shake
L - Cytosport Protein Drink - Tropical
S - Orange Protein Shake
D - 1 Cup of pinto beans w/Hot Chow Chow
S - Hard Boiled Egg and String Cheese
Calories = 1259 Fat = 25 Carbs = 88 Protein = 165
Blessing to All,
Ed

Loving me...every day...for the rest of my life!
I'm finding I'm a marvelous laboratory for learning about the power of the mind. Tuesday night I was putting myself through agony fantasizing about all the unhealthy foods (plus mega calories) I could eat - then I gave myself a talking to and changed my thinking - the results, no agony. Last night I was 50 calories short of the amount I'm allowing myself to consume - and I DIDN'T WANT TO EAT ANY MORE - even started to mix PB2 and put it aside because I just didn't want it (or anything else). Obiously the difference wasn't physical for up to that point I had eaten the very same things at the very same time that I had Tuesday - it was all the focus of my thinking. Remarkable! It never ceases to amaze me - even though I keep telling my patients this over and over. (Hmmm - suppose I need to practice what I preach ) Will I never again "mis-think" Do pigs fly? Hopefully, less often and when I do it won't take me as long to turn my thinking in a positive direction. I know when I have a pity party, I tend to serve lavish refreshments. So need to know off throwing pity parties and accept I simply can't have my cake (healthy life/weight) and eat it (lots of good food + lots of not good food - just LOTS of food in general) too.
So all that said, I commit to a 100% BOTT food and exercise day. Yesterday I even exercised a lot more - 3 times up the one flight of stairs to my office (compared to 0 times), signed up for a 1 hour walk (as compared to 0 extra walking) in the cancer Relay for Life walk a week from Sat. and 1/2 hr on free walk +15 min on basic walk (as compared to 30 min on basic walk) on Wiifit. Actually enjoyed it.
Thanks for letting me share.

Mornin everyone!
I busted my butt this morning at the gym, doing a ton more cardio than I've done in a while. Felt great. Did you ever get that feeling when you finished mass cardio and got off the machine and it felt like you were walking on air? I'm sure it was a combination of endorphines, muscle strain/release and the ending of the constant motion. It was cool tho. I felt light as a feather.
Cardio - 30 min hard core hills on the bike
10 min hard core hills on the eliptical
Food -
B - 4 "Bites" and 4 fiber chews (wish me luck... ugh)
S - EAS Advant Edge Carb Control Choccie Fudge
L - Burger, cheddar and bacon, grilled onion, mustard and 1/2 tsp relish (no bun)
S - EAS Advant Edge Carb Control ****ie Fudge
D - Taco meat or chicken?
S - Tryin for a salad if I have it in me

BodyBugg is a monitor type device, worn on your left forearm to calculate your body temp and activities during a 24 hr. period. You upload it on your computer at the end of your day to see how many calories that you burned, steps taken and the times that you worked out the on a scale type chart. You also keep track of your calories consumed and it tells you what your balances are. If you watch the Biggest Loser, all of the contestants wear them. This thing is addicting!
I've had pretty a few good eating days, so I'm trying to stay true to form as Kathy S. has pointed out summer is coming...I have a yellow poka dot bikini that I'm dying to get in to. Somebody call the police if you see me in a bikini!
