I echo your appreciation of the folks here, Cathy.  They have become dear friends and I can say they have made it possible for me to succeed because they care and I let myself accept that caring.

I had an interesting evening yesterday - my day went flawlessly until I jumped on WiiFit and even though my BMI/weight went down a tiny bit I must have decided it should have gone down a spectacular amount (sound familiar to anyone  LOL)  Immediately I went from satisfied (and I hadn't even had supper yet) to ravenously hungry.  Of course, supper didn't satisfy me (familiar?)  So, eventually, I gave myself a talking to.  (Since I live with 3 cats, they tolerate me talking to myself out loud)  I told me I had a choice.  I was not going to eat anything else!  So my choices were, to not eat anymore food and be miserable - or to not eat anymore food and be satisfied.  Given those choices, "myself" decided I'd rather be satisfied so I quite fantasizing about what I could eat that wouldn't be "too much" (anything would have been too much at that point) and lo and behold, forgot about starving, went to bed, slept like a log, and woke up this morning with not one hunger pang.  At was all "mind over what's the matter" for me.

So this morning I'm committing to another BOTT food and exercise day (even climbed the one flight of stairs to my office this morning instead of riding the escalator - not quite ready to commit to walking to my 7th floor condo when I get home this evening LOL)  I plan to moitor my thinking and stay happy.

April is National Humor Month - Laugh with not at  (and that's the great thing about the folks here - we do laugh with and that helps, but we don't laugh at which hurts)  Thank you so much each and every one of you for being my friends!  Here's wiching a very fine day

Howdy All,
I had a great BOTT day yesterday with no snacking or deviating from my planned menu.  That's always the hardest thing for me in that I plan a menu for the day only to change it halfway through.

Food:
B - Egg White Cajun Omelet
S - Protein Shake
L - Dijon Chicken w/Broccoli, Cauliflower, Carrots
S - Boiled Egg & String Cheese
D - Baked Chicken w/salad & lite Balsamic dressing

Calories = 1275  Fat = 38  Carbs = 54  Protein = 167

Blessing to all,
  Ed

Way to go, Happy Lapbander! You tell yourself!

I'm glad that I joined BOTT too. It's been very helpful in the harder times. I actually use reading old posts as a distraction from my head hunger! Its great.

So today we're shooting for reduction in eating. I've been eating while bored. Granted it was all protein. But even that has calories. Today its WATER WATER WATER. Wish me luck!

Cardio - Hit the gym hardcore yesterday, resting the bod today.

Food

B - 3 Veggie and Cheese bites (thankee to Eggface)
S - Chicken
L - Turkey and Broccoli
S - Finish my Broccoli
D - Not sure, goin to a b-day party. Something protein-y.

Hello BOTT,
Thank you Cathy for your warm sentiments of appreciation.  I come to this board for incite, support, and information.  Some other boards have too much drama, and not enough Obesity Help,  Back On Track Together and Back to Basics information.  I don't want to know about the soap opera's, idle gossip and who said something negative to the last member that posted a question.  That's not what this is about, and if I can come here and not be afraid to asks a question no matter how minute, I feel comfortable.  I thank you and the other members for this board.  Now, that being said!
