well hello all 3 weeks ago i did the 5dpt and lost 5 lbs yeah! i joined a gym and worked out 4 days last week and 3 this week.but i have gained back 3 lbs and am very irritated. now im not keepin track of of what im eating to a science. im more or less being more aware and choosing better things....i am doing my soy protein shake at least once a day if not 2x. no more pop and only H2O. im gonna print off the rules again so i have them near by....but im slightly irritated cause i thought this would be coming off easier...just wonder why its sooooooo hard to kick start my body into a loosing stage again....at times i want to give up. i will say i have more energy but am not seeing reflections in the scale. I realize you cant judge by the scale but its not like im on my last 10lbs...i weigh 250 it should be coming off with doing these changes i have done...oh well just venting again...thanks for listening....

I know exactly how you feel. When I hit 3 weeks of BOTTing, I also had no results. So I decided something drastic was in order and threw my body into ketosis on Tuesday. 4 days later and 4 lbs lighter and I'm very pleased with the results and lessons I've learned so far. It may not be the best option for everyone, but it might be worth a try to kickstart your weightloss and see some movement on the scale.

Best of luck!

thanks..is this primarialy done by eating just protein and veggies? i know when i did the 5day pouch test i went into ketosis...because i got that "sweet taste" in my mouth which a friend of mine who is always doing high protein says happens when you are in ketosis. but its just difficult for me to stay there on an every day basis...but i do keep plugging along...i am determined to get under 200! its gotta come off some how! thanks

I got into ketosis by eating less than 20 net carbs a day, all protein, lots of water and my daily coffee regimine. There is a website that was very helpful for me to pick the right foods. www.lowcarb4life.sugarbane.com/lowcarbfoods.htm And I also keep track maticulously on myfitnesspal.com Let me know if you try it and if it works out.

Hey Karen, weight gain right after starting to work out is normal since muscle weighs more than fat. Keep up the good work you have started and the weight will come off. Keep us posted of your progress.
