Back On Track Together
Started 5DPt today... 1st day
Started 5DPt today…
So far so good. I am hungry – but I know I need the carb break. .
I was planning to post something last night –but I got too busy having fun and then just got too tired. I wished I had a good night of sleep.
During the weekend I cut down on coffee, and on Sunday I only had 1 cup 50/50 regular and de-caff. This morning I did not drink coffee. I hope I can get of coffee. I love the smell and taste of coffee but coffee makes me irritable and with my Type A personality – that is a bit explosive mix.
So this morning I started with a good BM (yea me) and I have been drinking my CLEAR protein drink and some herbal tea. I am hungry – but I have my thermos right beside me – so I ca sip (as during the first days post op) my drink. I use Isopure (easy – do not have to mix), but I have to mix it with water – and the ho****er works better for me that the cold one.
I believe it is important to take probiotics, (good bacteria) every day beside the yogurt that I try to have. Yogurt does not have all the good probiotics that our body needs, and it usually does not have enough of them anyway. (google “probiotics" – for more info).
What else I am planning to do during my 5 DPT?
1. Get off coffee – and it worst case – have a decaff coffee
2. Make sure I take my vitamins every day – all and as much as needed
3. Make sure I drink as much water as I need (min 64 oz)
4. Make sure I have a good BM every day – I am planning to take some magnesium capsules (min 1000-1500mg every evening) to make sure I asl clean my bowels every day. Now – I will do that – but make sure you do what you know is right for you. First day – I am planning to do clear liquids only, then on the 2 day - I will introduce – still low carb – full liquids and I will try to add some fiber to my shakes – soups.
5. Make sure I get enough sleep every day. Min 8hrs.
6. Exercise at least 30 min each day – more if I can – if nothing else – take a brisk walk.
7. I will also try to take a nice cleansing bath – hot bath with Epsom salt (1-2 cups) and/or baking soda (same qty). the warm bath (or hot – if you do not mind it) will help re-circulate the blood, opens the pores and allows the toxins to get out of my skin.
Please share some of your ideas….
I will try to post info for tomorrow before the end of today in:

This is easier than sending PM since we can all share the experience with each other…

Days 1 & 2: Liquid Protein
low-carb protein shakes, broth, clear or cream soups, sugar-free gelatin and pudding.
The first two days are all liquids. You can have as many
low-carb protein shakes as you like to satisfy hunger or cravings. In addition drink at least six 8-ounce glasses of water each day. The purpose of all liquids is to break any snacking, grazing or processed carbohydrate habits. In addition the liquids will work to cleanse your system and prepare you for the following three days.
Try to reduce your caffeine intake as well, but do not stop caffeine cold turkey or you will feel sick and frustrated potentially losing the desire to continue with the pouch test.
It is very important to drink a minimum of 64 ounces of water each day. This will prevent dehydration, will help curb cravings and will flush your body of toxins and fat. Sufficien****er intake improves kidney function and cell processes.

So far so good. I am hungry more that I thought I would be. I guess the honeymoon is over. I drink my protein and a few minutes later - it feels like a and starving (technically – I am).
It is 3:00 p.m. here and so far I had already 80 gr of protein and all together over 80 oz of liquid. 40 of them were the protein drinks – and the last 40 – was added water.. bathroom is my friend…I also feel tired … sleeping only 5 hrs last night may have something to do with that… When I drink – sip – I get full quickly – but they I get back to being hungry much faster..I hope can survive the rest of the day…
It is tough… tougher that I thought it would be…

I also found myself very hungry all day. I ate a lot of sf jello, water with crystal ligh****er ( I had drank 130oz of water by noon), protein shakes. I have been steady at going at it. I want to be successful. I can't wait til Wednesday when we can have some food. LOL. Well day one is over for me, heading to bed soon, looking forward to what tomorrow will bring.
Good luck tomorrow.

The beauty of a woman is not seen through what she wears. It is seen through how she carries herself and the way she doesn’t allow herself to settle. Don’t ever let anyone take for granted the beauty that is within you. Stand firm and know that you’re a wonderful person. Always remember your value and respect yourself. I’m so blessed to have you in my life. Sometimes we all need to be reminded how special we really are!
It is harder that I thought. It is getting better today. I have my SF jello and SF pops (I freeze my pouch - so it stops whining). I also had some grapefruit yesterday. But I had to... lol.. and it was not much ..but it helped... lol
new post about today - coming...
