Eating when I'm not hungry.

Now its not what you think. I don't mean grazing and snacking all day.

Lets add some back story to explain.

Last weeked I had Saturday pretty much to myself. So while I did have errands to run, I waited to do it till later in the afternoon. I drank water water water water; lots and lots of ice water. Niiiice cold ice water as I watched a few Sat movies on TV. I didn't snack. I didn't graze, and found the cold water really helped stay my hunger and cravings. I had a few crackers and wine cheese at lunch time and till supper that was all I had all day. I had a small light supper. Sunday, I did mostly the same thing. No snacking, very small meals and lots and lots of ice water.

It was some kind of hunger miracle. I suddenly am no longer hungry. Like almost ever. When intense bouts of boredom come along I find I want a snack, but I know its because I have lack of any other stimulation.

Its almost like I am fresh out of surgery or something. There is no appetite. I'm not depressed or over-stressed. I am in fact waking up happy and peppy, excited to tackle today.

So whats up with that? Did anyone else ever experience this so far out? Suddenly your appetite dissapeared for no real GOOD reason?

Here's the thing now. I don't really feel like eating when I eat. I make the right choices and proper amounts of food and daily protein, etc etc.... but... it doesn't satisfy a hunger need or craving. Its almost the exact opposite of a week ago when 3:00 would hit and I had to tie my hands to my keyboard to keep from reaching for the baked tostitos. But now I feel like I DON'T need to eat and am eating anyways. Its not something I want to do, in my head. I feel like I'm going to get cravings back. Which I don't want. I want to see that scale move and I WANT to have no appetite.

I finally got what I wished for but now I'm clueless how to handle it!  Do I fast? Do I just do water, multivitamins and some shakes? Do I keep eating? I have the opprotunity here to eat way less calories and kickstart the loss I've been missing out on. What do I do?

Anyone have a suggestion? I know... wierd-o situation that is the total opposite of most people on the board... but I could use some advise.

Totally opposite from what we usually deal with. Just remember that when we go into starvation mode our bodies want to hold on to every calorie they get as a protection. As long as you get your protein, vits and minimum requierments for calories you should be fine. keep us informed how you do this weekend..

The name of the game is PROPER NUTRITION.  When has our "hunger" ever been a reliable signal as to whether or not we need to eat? LOL    If you cut back too much - one day, all of a sudden, you will want to (and probably will) "eat a horse and chase its rider."  Not a good thing!  Doesn't sound as though you getting anywhere near your 60-70 grams of protein a day.  That's a MUST.  Please take very good care of yourself
