Friday - BOTT Cafe & Cardio

Hi BOTTers,

I hate being sick!!  I'm on a stronger antibiotic so I'm hoping that will work.  For me, when I'm sick, I have to be very cautious about my eating.  I tend to want to comfort myself by eating less than healthy food choices.  My emotional eating radar is up because I know that I eat to feel better when I'm sick. 

Here's my check-in:

CARDIO:  On hold until I'm better. 

FOOD:

B - Protein oatmeal with blueberries
L - Chicken veggie soup
S - Cinnamon Toast Pretzels
D - Fish with veggies
S - Power Crunch bar

Cathy, are you going to be able to have this weekend's adventure you were looking forward to?  I do hope so. 

Yesterday was a weird day - thought I was going to have to do a stress test in addition to an echocardiogram (routine).  So, did not eat prior to appointment.  As it turned out - no stress test needed.  So my food routine was all mucked up for the day.

Am back on schedule today.  Will have a 100% BOTT  food and exercise day.

I think I'm subconsciously packing on some calories and carbs for the weekend's endevours. I'm trying to keep it in check though. I will keep making good choices, and I made a triple protein shake to have during the weekend. Wish me broken appendages, because really in essence, its a whole weekend of acting for me.  Which of course is a tremendous plus, considering that's what I looooove to do. (Masters degree in Theatre Performance!)

Food -

B - Subway Flatbread omlette sammich
S - Prolly skipping it
L - Never got to that stuffed pepper, might be that or a chicken n veggie wrap
S - LF String cheese
D - Gunna have to wing that one on the road to game.
S - Turkey pepperoni (at 3 AM )

So I packed myself a few heathly things for between the food they provide at game... Those new chewy Nature Valley trail mix bars (fruit and nut), Turkey pepperoni (SPICY WOW! ) those propel packets 2Go for electrolytes, a triple protein shake to sip at all weekend, crystal light lemonaide, and my sinful indulgence... Pizza flavored gold fish. Now I know what you're thinking! All those refined carbs. But I am going to burn SO much energy they won't have the least *****ance to be absorbed.  Normally I also pack those chocolate covered espresso beans by Starbucks... but I'll forego those this game and see how I do (they're GREAT for a lil pick-me-up when it gets past stupid-o-clock... which is when everyone's so tired they're loopy but game is on for another 2 hours). I'm hoping the protein shake will do it instead.

PS: Just to give you an idea of how many calories I'll burn JUST tonight in 4 hours... Myfitnesspal.com says 1552 calories. That's 300 more than I take in in a normal day!

Well we getting hit with more snow today. That is 4 storms in 2 weeks and I never thought I would get tired of it but I am ready for Spring to arrive already. My son & I are going to get one more round of skiing in tomorrow since they close on Sunday.

B-Jimmy Deans D-light Breakfast Bowl
S-Protein Bar
L-Turkey Wrap
S-Hard Boiled Egg & String Cheese
D-Chicken Alfredo

I am going to rent Marly & Me and Twightlight after work and curl up with my son and hubbie for a movie night at home. I hope everyone has a great weekend.
