As said before, generally most people aim for 60-100 g of protein. And any source will do, meat, shakes, bars, soy... Why don't you give us a normal day's menu in your life and maybe we can help ya more?

A good way to get the info is to contact the surgeons office that did your surgery and ask them to send you a copy of their requierments for post ops 1 year or more out. Every surgeon is a little differant on what they require.

I'm glad that you are getting back on track with your surgery and very glad that you're here with us on the BOTT group.

It sounds as though you may need to have an appointment with your surgeon and/or dietician for the answers to some of your questions.  Every surgeon's protocol for their patients can vary plus your own medical history and any health related conditions need to be considered as well.

We don't endorse or recommend any particular dietary program and believe that all of us need to consult with our surgeon as necessary.  We aren't medical professionals.  What you will receive is each of our own personal experiences.  You should rely on advice of your surgeon.

Welcome to our BOTT Group.  It is a special group of members that are BOTTing.  I've obtained so much from being part of this group.  I hope you will too.

Good advice!   Make an appointment with your surgeon and have him/her review each deatial you are unsure about.  Glad you're here - we just aren't qualified to give you specific answers to your questions - only your surgeon can do that.  Surgeons vary on specifics.
