So yesterday a friend of my husbands told me that I looked too thin!!  Imagine that!!  I am so amazed by how my distorted body imagine affects my life.  I always feel fat.  I need to take a full length picture and look at it every day.  I was jus****ching a photo shot of Valerie Berteneli and she is 5'4" and 139 lbs after Jenny Craig.  She looks great so I guess I must too!!  Oh what a crazy thing this weigh thng is!!
I am just over a week from my hospital stay so I look a bit pale and tired.  I need t slowly work up my stamina again and get a little sun!!  I'll let you all know what the doctor says tomarrow.

You know what would be fun for you maybe? A mini photo shoot. I am a photographer and I know a ton of people in that area if you want to hook up with someone... and even if not, you should try that! It is fun! I have been taking photos of myself lately just so I can see what others are seeing because I still feel really horrible about myself. I am still large and have a ways to go before my goal... but I know I look better than I did at my heaviest. The picture for my avatar was taken two weekends ago. It is just fun :)

Edited to add: (I accidentally hit a button and it submitted my response!)

I think we all have that thought of being in the same boday we were always in. We have a warpped self imagine. I see no change in me at all from last summer, even though i am down over 30 pounds and if I look at side by side photos I can definately see the difference. I think it is just part of how our psyche works and we need to see ourselves as beautiful.handsome. How to do that, I am not sure but I know for me what I am doing has helped. DOing my hair, wearing makeup, nicer clothes and taking the photos. :)

Did you ever think you would hear someone say you were too thin. I look forward to that day. Take your time getting back to normal after your surgery, you dont want to over do it. You'll be back to "normal" soon.

Jen - Wish you could see yourself as I see you - I see you as thin and beautiful.

Hope you get a good report from the dr - looking forward to knowing what he/she had to say

Please, take very good care of yourself - build back up slowly

I am so glad I am not the only one having body image disturbances right now! I am in a slump and am looking for ideas to deal with things. I know clothes fit differently but I still see myself about 80# heavier than I am. I am trying to find inspiration/motivation. I will write if I find good material. I see someone replied to you about photos, I think that is a great idea. I have not done a post op photo for a couple months, think I am in serious need of one!
