Back On Track Together

Just realized

On the way to work this morning I realized I have been maintaining for several weeks now - strictly limiting my calories (perhaps too much) then eating a lot more, gaining some (less than 3 pounds), then strictly limiting my calories and starting the cycle all over again.  The only problem is that I'm doing this about 5-10 pounds before I reach the weight I want to maintain.  Now my challenge is to slowly reach my desired maintenance weight and then do maintenance eating.  Don't feel so bad about myself now that I've figured out what I'm doing - plus I know I can maintain - there may be better ways to do it - but those I'll learn from trial, and yes error.

Peace and joy to you each and every one

Happy,

The small thing we realize about ourselves.

I have missed your posts the last few days.

Haven't been on alot myself, I made one of my first major goals for the year and finished a 5k walk on Sunday.  Was sore yesterday, but feel great today.

Good for you - a 5K walk is a major accomplishment.    I'm really  proud of you

It feels so good to make progress - of course, we want to do it all overnight LOL, but that just isn't the way it works.  Keep it up, my friend

Hmmm... I noticed something too.  I was doing well with my eating and exercising but not losing as much as I should have.  When I calculated my calorie intake and my 1 hour+ of cardio exercising, I was "starving" myself.  I was running a negative at the end of the day.  Now I'm trying to up my calories.

I'm hoping adding 100 calories will make it easier to stay on trac****il I get to the weight I want to maintain.  If it doesn't, then I'll try something else.  thanks for the insight

For you to be able to realize that and think the process through just shows how far you have come in this weight loss journey

And the key word here is "slowly"  Just think how far you have come

Keep it going girl

Take care,
Kathy

You're a dear!!   Thanks so much for pointing that out.  There's no doubt that patience certainly isn't one of my virtues (most days I have a battle to even think it IS a virtue LOL)

Have to keep telling myself Slow and steady wins the race   I will master this!!!!!

Have a fun day
