Water Loading

Today is day 5 of water loading for me. I feel a lil bloated sometimes, true, and I pee like a race horce! But I actually think its doing something good for me. When I don't fall off the wagon (I did today.... I'm anxiously awaiting an answer on a bid for a house and for the loan approval... so I bought chilli, but I only ate half before I Stopped myself!!) it seems to help curb my appetite. A few big gulps of water satisfy me. And for the first time since surgery I am actually getting in all the water required in a day.

Here's the fun part. I missed some water today (due to that horrid stress snack chilli) and I feel completely dehydrated. Is it possible my body is now accustomed to this much water after having less for so long before? I mean it, I never got in 64 oz of water, before or after surgery. I just couldn't do it, I hate it! Gimmie a coffee or glass of milk any day of the week.

Anyhow... just a thought on something new I've tried. The scale hasn't moved all week... but it also hasn't moved UP.  Waterloading might be working for me. We'll see what next week brings?

(I love that little glasses guy.... he reminds me of me... hehe I'm a geek)

Hey Dreamgirl,
Water loading is drinking as much water as you can, as fast as you can. It gives you the feeling of being full for 15-25 min. It is recommended that you water load 15 min before meals although you can do it anytime during the day for a full feeling without eating. It really works just make sure its 15 min before or 1.5 hours after eating.

Wow, waterloading working its magic today!!

This is the first time I tried water loading before a protein and raw veggie heavy meal. I had grilled chicken and veggies in a wrap. Lemmie tell you its sitting there and sitting there! Its been almost 2 hours and I don't think that food has gone anyplace. Its not stuck, I can feel that much. I just feel so full! Not painfully or distractingly so. Just satisfied. This may be working.
