It has been awhile since my last post. I normally read alot of the topics and don't get a chance to reply. Life has been so stressful we just found out the my hubby is being retiring after 11yrs of service. which mean we are moving back hm. We can stay w/ family but there is so much up in the air. No home nojobs. I keep catching my self trying to drown out my worries with food. I'm having such a hard time with avoiding carbs. I didn't realize how much of an emotional eater I really was til now! I'm down 77lbs after 5mths! Is that good? I feel like I could have done better. I'm in a size 18 for the first time in almost 9yrs(I was a tight 26).I almost feel embarrassed writting this like of let everyone down or something. But today is a new day and I'm going to recommit to working out and jourling my meals! I'm just needing to vent. So here is my log for today! My workout will be a bike ride w/ kids!

Welcome back to the board. It is SO easy to get side tracked with other issues and the first thing we do is turn back to the coping measures we know best. and 77 pounds down after 5 months is AWESOME!!! Just think, you lost a 3rd grader. Keep journling and post here often. It helps you to stay on track and keeps you accountable. Can't wait to hear of your success.

77 Lbs is awesome!  You had surgery 5 days before me - and I'm at 56 lbs.

I noticed in your menu you don't drink protein drinks - is that by choice or from your NUT or Dr?  I drink 3 a day and have found they help satisfy me and carry me to the next meal.  Just mix some protein powder in my coffee in the morning, and a crystal lite with unflavored protein at night.  Sometimes I make a smoothie (yum).

Just an observation and wondering.

There's no way you're letting us down.  We've all been there and done that - that's why we're here and why can and understand, accept and support each other.  You're one of our "family" and we're so glad you've come "home'

You are facing some monumental life changes - no wonder the old "eat-to-self-soothe" damons are rearing their ugly heads

Think about it this way - all that you have to do to accomplish this transition in your life, you can do without carrying around 3 25-pounds of dog food (that's 75 pounds less your body has to carry around and you are even 2 pounds less than that)  I'd say that's an awesome difference.  You're doing GREAT

Don't be shy   Come often and let us have a chance to
