Thats why I came a looking for Back on trackers....I need to get back on track...

Does my pouch still work?
Have I broken my pouch?
Have I ruined my tool
?

These are questions many weight loss surgery post-ops find themselves asking occasionally during their journey. Perhaps it feels like we can eat more food or we know that we are eating more food. Sometimes these questions are asked when there has been a weight regain.

Thanks ya'll, I found it and printed it off. My daughrer is being banded Friday and i wanted to do the diet with her to support her efforts, since she still lives at home. I got banded a couple of years ago and have gotten into some bad habits, so I will do the pouch test along with the clear/full liquids phase with her. I hope I can survive it. LOL.

Glad to know this spot is here. I need a kick in the butt.

Welcome to the group. I saw your post about the 5 day pouch test. I started it on Sunday. I didn't think it would be too bad, until I could smell the cooking. Usually in our house cooking's done a few times a week. But Sunday they cooked corn beef with cabbage carrots and potatoes. Monday I was down in my room downstairs and I could smell something being baked. My stepdad decided to make pretzels. But still I didn't stray I just made my protein shakes and soups, And for dessert I had my sugar free jello and puddings.

I got a call today from my PCP. I went there last week because I was sick. The checked my iron levels because I am anemic. Anemia and me is nothing new back when I was in high school i was told my iron levels are low. But today the nurse told me my PCP wants me to come in to discuss my results and to refer me to a hematologist. I'm not sure what to think about that. If I should be concerned or don't worry. Also I have 2 days left on the pouch test diet. I don't want to stop now. I am continuing to take my Iron supplements, but while on the test I'm not eating any vegetables. Today I had an egg omelet for breakfast. For a snack I had a protein shake.  For lunch I had 1 boiled egg, a piece of canned salmon and 2 tblspns of cottage cheese. LOL I actually thought that sounds really disgusting LOL but it actually tastes not that bad. I'm hoping to have a hot piece of grilled fish. I know I am big but man am I cold - I have really enjoyed being able to have hot soup the last 2 days.

What I am noticing while on this is I do feel full when I drink my protein shakes. Not so much with the jello and puddings though. Good thing their calorie content is not high. Another thing is I get annoyed when I want to eat something but know I can't because I am choosing to do this and I don't want to screw up.When I get annoyed I get mad at everyone. Well I am going to a meeting in a couple of hours and am looking forward to being out of the house when they cook and eat. Besides my silly thoughts I am doing well. Tonight and 2 more days to go!

Hey Maz, thanks for the reply!! I know what you mean about the rest of the family cooking and eating while we do this thing. I already told my husband and son they were on their own for a week or so and there would be no big elaborate cooking going on. Im buying them lunch meat and soup and they can order pi**a or whatever. I am going to drink shakes and liquids with my girl and get myself jump started again and give her support at the same time.

You have been on this journey for awhile now.. how has it been 7 years out? I find myself back in bad thinking habits only 22 months out so I have to reel them back in. Do you find yourself constantly reprimanding yourself?

I do...LOL..

Thanks again.........
