Back On Track Together
Just wanted to introduce myself...
Hi everyBOTTy!!
My name is Debby. I had the RNY last summer. I have lost about 100 pounds from my highest weight ever, and about 70 pounds since surgery. I have always been an emotional eater, and I have used food to help me cope with stress at work, etc. I started to fall back into this habit after surgery, and it scared me. I'm working hard on picking up better habits and letting go of the old ones that caused me to gain weight. It is difficult for me at times, but I have to do this. I want my surgery to work, so I am determined to stay more focused, to set goals, and to reach them. This group seems to be so warm and supportive, and I'm so happy to be a part it.

Welcome Debby, you are in the right place. My stats are pretty similiar to you except I started 7 months before you. I'm down 110 from my highest weight and 90 lbs from surgery. I picked up some of my old habits during the holidays and have been fighting to rid myself from them since.
Being aware is such a big part of change, I'm glad you are doiwn well at pickup bup better habits and letting go of the old ones. We are all rooting for you.. You will do fantastic. Maria

Thank you so very much!!! I really appreciate being a part of this group and I am looking forward to becoming a better, more healthier me. I find that one of my main problems is snacking at night. For example, I was thinking about eating a Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich just now...even though I had my snacks already and I'm really not hungry. I always have this urge to snack at night. Then, I saw your post and I felt strong enough to say no, that's not what I need right now. So, I'm going to drink some flavored water instead. That is my other issue...not drinking enough water. Baby steps, right? lol Thanks again, Kathy. Hugs
