do you have problems with microwaved foods?

Over the past year I've read about folks who have problems iwth microwaved food vs. reheated on stove top.  I had never had this problem.    Fast forward to this will (and sorry if to much info) I made some amazing chicken corn soup on Saturday.  When I make soup I make a huge pot so that I can freeze it in individual servings for future meals.    Anyway.. I have twice since Saturday microwaved a serving for a meal and both times I got ill from it and ended up spitting it back up.   (note: I can count on one hand how many times I've spit food up post surgery... so twice in a few days is very odd for me)

It was not making sense to me and then I remembered reading about people having problems with re-heated microwave food.      Is this an urban legend or legit?  do you think this is what could be the problem.  I have 8 or 10 servings in my freezer I'd hate to have to just get rid of them.    Thanks.. Maria

I have a hard time eating meats that were cooked or reheated in a microwave. Those are the only foods I've had problems with. I think for me, it dries out the food too much. That woulden't apply to soup you'd think. The soup sound good. Post the receipe for all to enjoy. Good luck.

Funny but that could be the case.. I call my chicken soup Stoup because its more of a stew than a soup.

I don't mesaure anything when I make it.. I put boneless chicken brests and thighs in low fat/sodium shicken stock and simmer it until the chicken is cooked.. I add to this diced celery, onion and bay leaves.  I then pull out the bay leaves and dice up the chicken... add shredded carrots and shoepeg corn.    If I'm making this for friends and family I add either the pasta dumpling noodles (they are the best not sure if its a pa thing) or some type to  pasta (for the noodle effect) and just cook it for a few hours on low heat.    I usually end up putting so much 'stuff' in that there is very little broth left.    This batch was pretty dry.. didnt' think of that.. thanks for the info.  Maria

Yes Maria, pretty early on I did have a problem eating food that had been reheated in the microwave....and if I went out to eat and tried to reheat it in the Styrofoam container and eat it...that was a total disaster.  I find even now from time to time I will have a problem, so it's not unusual for us WLS patients.
