just gotta say thanks to all of you and to this forum! i feel such a sense of committment that has been gone for so many years! i have been in touch with my surgeon and i opted to not look into the stomaphyx or any type of revision..... i NEED to do this with the tool i have. i absolutely need to learn that food will never ever hug me back!!!!!

saturday and sunday were rough for me, but with the scale moving i am able to push temptation out of my mind. its amazing what a hot cup of tea and some solitude can do for you when you are 'having a moment' and there's NO guilt and self-loathing afterwards!!! awesome! yesterday and today have been so easy. my biggest problem is to stop the habit of picking at things. right after surgery, there was a fear of what would happen if i ate the wrong things... now it's entirely up to me to be accountable. I am still on liquids and protein shakes and lots of supplements until saturday. i have decided to extend the 5dpt to trick my brain into feeling newly post-op. so far my silly brain is buying it, hahahahaha!!!

thanks BOTTers!!!! it's an amazing feeling to know how many people are in your corner when you need them! you guys rock and keep fightening the good fight.

Congratulation Cari on your committment to yourself.  We are all in this together and together we will make it through and achieve the goals we are setting for ourselves.  One day at a time, one step at a time.

Good morning Cari. Glad to hear things are getting better. I agree with you about the encouragement of seeing the scale move the right way. Keep up the good work and keep us informed.

Cari I'm so proud of you!!!   You are doing a spectacular job of getting back on track.

Celebrate the changes you have already made - and it really does get easier each compliant day you have - not that you will never get off track ever again, but Cathy has taught me that getting off track isn't the important thing - it's what you do the day after you have gotten off track.

I know I couldn't do it without the support, caring, and acceptance of the BOTTers.  Awesome folks

Have a delightful BOTT day
