Well, yesterdays dr's appointment was both good and not so good. I know it's "sick" to see having a health problem as good, but (confess, confess) I do. I am a little anemic - that means I'm not tired because I'm lazy! (My pathology when I'm not in a good place in my head is that I fear being lazy or late and that I'm not good enough or I don't know enough - of course, to be sure I actully do know enough I'd have to know everything about everything - sure, that's going to happen! LOL) But the anemia can be cleared up with 3 months of iron and Vitamin C. Learned that vitamin C promotes greater absorption of iron. (Yeah - now I know more about something!) Fortunately there is an iron tablet that doesn't constipate one!
The other thing that is both good and not so good - I only weigh 1/2 pound more than I did 6 months ago - but I wasn't at my goal weight 6 months ago either. But that can be cleared up by BOTTing.
The not so good is that I've shrunk - I now am "officially" 5' 11 3/4" But you know what, I'm still going to say I'm 5'
Since my opening had stretched a tiny bit, I had Dr. Lord make it just a little smaller than it was after my last fill. That means 2 days on clear liquid (this is my second day as I anticipated this and was on clear liquids all day yesterday), 2 days on full liquids, and 2 days of soft foods before I'm back on regular food. No problem doing that. It does seem like kind of a bother to have to be planning for stocking foods I don't routinely eat - but certainly nothing I can't handle.
I had a good BOTT day yesterday - nothing like clear liquids and a trip to the bariatric dr to yield a stress-free BOTT day LOL I commit to a flawless BOTT day today too. I only exercised to my WiiFit exercises 12 minutes as I had done a fair amount of walking running my errands. I was amazed - my BMI had crept down a very teeny tiny bit - nothing spectacular and still in the obese range, but it was down! Don't anticipate that happening this evening when I hop on the exercise board as I didn't do that much exercising yesterday, but do hope by some quirk of fate, it doesn't creep up. (Think BOTT - not a race, but a life thing - right?)
So my BOTT family - thank you for being there so I know I have folks who truly care that I can lean on when I need to - and folks who've been where I am and understand and accept that it's OK if I don't know everything about everyting and that I am good enough for that moment in time - later I may do better, but I'm as good as I can be for that second.
Join me in having a fun BOTT day! And, yes, you too are good enough and know enough - Jump for Joy Because You're You!!!

Happy Hump Day everyone! Yesterday was okay, I did fine on my food but still struggling to get in exercise with this cold. They are cutting overtime at work so I am going to join my old gym and workout over lunch instead of working through lunch. I think it will be beneficial for both my waistline and mental health.
Exercise: Walk at morning & afternoon break
Food:
B-Low carb tortilla w/refried beans, ground turkey & cheese
S-Dry roasted edamame & string cheese
L-Turkey taco soup
S-Protein shake
D-Panko coated chicken strips & mashed sweet potatoes
1385 Calories, 107 Carbs, 40 Fat, 147 Protein
100 oz. water and vitamins.
Have a great day!
