Back On Track Together

Thank you!

I just wanted to thank everyone!  A few days ago I asked what your food staples are and I never got around to thanking everyone!  Right now, I am trying to make a plan, stock up my kitchen, clean out the junk food, set up my supplements, and get other things set up for weight loss.  I was out of the state for a few months and I've been back for about a month and need to get my home back on track too!  I am also in the process of getting nerve blocks (for my IC), dental exams, eye exams, anual gyn exam, etc.  I am getting everything checked out and in working order so I can focus on my weight!

So, I know I don't post all that much but I do come by here often and get motivation and tips from you guys!  I wanted to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart!  I need a lot of support as my RNY road has been more than rocky.  My #1 objective is getting a supplement routine that I can tolerate (I have another health limitation and vitamins aggrivate it, and calcium makes me sick).  So... I am trying to get that worked out... then #2 is finding a gym that I can use once I am cleared physically.  I think the best way for me to get on track is to tackle 1 or 2 things at a time.  Changing too many things at once will make it hard to get on the band wagon and stay on it.  So... baby steps... and I wanted to thank everyone for their tips thus far!

I loved your post as it was interesting to see what other members have as staples.  I picked up a few myself to try.

You sure are motivated to get and stay back on track.  You've got everything in place which is a huge step.  I'm glad that you're BOTTing with all of us.  It has made a difference for me in being able to stand more firmly back on track.

I completely agree with you to tackle 1 or 2 habits and then move on.  I had an idea that I'll share with you.  Make a list of the habits you want to change to get back on track.  Take one habit per month and work on it.  It takes three weeks to make a new habit.  Before you know it, month by month, you've created a new series of habits that will put you where you want to be in being on track.

Thanks to you for being a BOTT member and sharing with us.  You plan sounds great!

Thanks for that idea Cathy!  I think I will make a list of bad habits and a list of positive habits and try to transfer one bad to one good at a time.  It is known that you can just stop habits... you must replace them with favorable ones.  When I did really well with my band, I replaced my evening snack with exercise.  I can't exercise all that much (should get clearance soon) and I hope that I can physically resume some sort of routine (My IC limits what I can do).

So... I am working on getting BOT.  It's hard, but not impossible!
