TACO SOUP RECIPE

                                                  TACO SOUP RECIPE

BROWN TOGETHER : 1 medium onion chopped fine
                                          2 lbs lean ground meat
                                          Drain off all fat


OPEN AND DUMP INTO CROCK-POT:  2 (14.5oz)  diced tomatoes
                                                                         1 small can rotel
                                                                         1 (15oz can)  kidney beans
                                                                                      "          pinto beans
                                                                                      "          black beans
                                                                          1 can shoe-peg corn (white corn)

STIR IN WELL: 2 pkg of Taco seasoning mix 
                            1 pkg of Hidden Valley seasoning mix    

ADD MEAT AND SIMMER.....THE LONGER THE BETTER!!
SERVE WITH FF  SOUR CREAM OR SHREDDED CHEESE ON TOP. YUMMY

I love this recipe. I make it on Sunday and freeze 1 C. portions to take to work during the week. It is also delicious made with all white ground turkey.

This is the one I use and it came from the Albertson's website...it is easy and yummy

Slow Cooker Taco Soup
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Cook Time: 8 Hours
Ready In: 8 Hours 10 Minutes
Servings: 8 Overview: Browned ground beef seasoned with a package of taco seasonings is combined in a slow cooker with canned beans, tomatoes, and green chilies. Serve with tortilla chips and a dollop of sour cream. Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 (16 ounce) can chili beans, with liquid
  • 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans with liquid
  • 1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn, with liquid
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 (14.5 ounce) cans peeled and diced tomatoes
  • 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chile peppers
  • 1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
Directions:
  1. In a medium skillet, cook the ground beef until browned over medium heat. Drain, and set aside.
  2. Place the ground beef, onion, chili beans, kidney beans, corn, tomato sauce, water, diced tomatoes, green chile peppers and taco seasoning mix in a slow cooker. Mix to blend, and cook on Low setting for 8 hours.

Both recipes sound really good.......................Is there away to make it without the chiles?  I have some serious issues with chiles lol. They don't like me.

I made this today and had it for dinner.  Not bad.  Unfortunately, it blew me up like a balloon with all those beans.  Next time, BEANO in the liquid form added to the crock pot at the beginning.  Whew, I'm hurting! 

Great recipe though!  My husband loved it!
