Just wanted to check in and say Hi. I am alittle over 3 years post-op. I have lost 175 lbs but still have 200 to go. I let myself get side tracked and have not lost or gained anything for a little over a year. Cathy, I am glad to see you are still here. You were always such a blessing and encouragement to me. So I'm back and ready to get rid of these last 200 lbs.

Hi Wayne,

It is wonderful to see you here with us BOTTing.  I'm happy you'll hang out with us.

I know that you're about halfway to where you want to be and ready to get back on track.  We've all been there in some way so you aren't alone.  Rather than think that you have 200 pounds to go, celebrate and be proud of that 175 that you have lost.  That is a human being that you've lost.  WOO HOO!  I think you've done great.  Congratulations!

Okay, you're finished with the distraction of being side tracked.  You haven't regained any of the weight that you have lost.  You're now back on track and ready to get back to losing.  I think it is wonderful that you have maintained your 175 pound weight loss for a year.  How many times have you stayed the same and were able to maintain any weight loss?  I know for me, in the past, I'd hit a low weight while dieting for about a day and then like a boomerang go right back up.  Maintaining as you have is a big success.  It also shows when you're at your goal that you will be able to maintain us.  Think of this period as maintanence rather than being side tracked.

Thank you for your nice and thoughtful comment in your post.  You're special to me too.

Take care, Cathy

Cathy

Glad to have you here on BOTT!  I'm impressed no end that you've maintained a 175 lb. loss over the past year!  I agree with Cathy--don't look at it as having 200 more lbs. to lose; just go for small increments much like you probably did at first.

This is the place to come for encouragement and support!

Always,
Jo
