A Little Morning Humor

I have been reading over all the posts for the last couple of weeks and thinking about everyone and everything we struggle with and it made me think of my visit with the psychiatrist at the start of my journer...

He said "You are an emotional eater"

and I responded "Really? Thanks for the insight....Did you think I was this hungry?"

It just goes to show that only those with similar problems can understand.  That is one of the many things that gives this forum so much power and helps me so much everyday!!!!

Teehee.  Sometimes, they are so clueless.  Too smart, me thinks.  What was his comment after that??

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Hi Jen,

That is very funny!  I agree with you, there is a commonality that all of us share.  We don't know each other in some ways but in others (the ways that really matter) we know each other like none other.

This BOTT group has made a tremendous difference in my life too.  It is so important to have a place that is safe, share our thoughts and feelings, struggles and successes.

Now if he really wanted to help he could have told you the solution to emotional eating!!!!!!!  That's the one answer I NEVER hear...  thanks, you made me laugh out loud, I can just imagine someone saying that to me, no telling what would have spilled out of my mouth in response.  Thanks, Robin

LOVE.  IT.  !!!!!

Seriously, so true.  When I read a post about someone being an emotional eater, I've always thought to myself that surely all of us here on OH are!  But I've never heard it so humorously put!

Always,
Jo
