Girl Scout Cookies
Well, it is that time of year again when Girl Scout Cookies are delivered/sold. A few weeks back, some of us made commitments to resist them when they arrived . This is my update to that commitment.
My cookies were presented to me Saturday . I paid the money for the 3 boxes I had ordered. Then I told my coworker (who sold them to me) I did not want them and told her to re-sell them. She was very surprised but accepting. And, she resold them by the end of the day...yay for her and YAY for me!
And, eventhough my other co-workers have been eating their cookies in my presence, I have not had one bite! BIG YAY for me!
How are YOU doing with(out) your cookies!

good for you. I don't have anyone selling them where I live so no temptation. But before I moved I would pick out the kind I didn't like. Plus, this is strange, but if I can't see the goodies I'm not tempted. I know they are there but I don't search for them. like I said ,strange. But congrats on that accomplishment.
Noone selling?? Just ask me! I have a garage full of the little devils. I find that as long as I don't start with the first one I am okay. At work everyone seems to be in the same boat...open up the box and hope tht all get gone before you have to take them home!!

I haven't bought a single box, but then I haven't been approached by a single girl scout either. I have to confess through, that I did by some Edy's Girl Scout Cookie ice cream-the peanut butter patty kind. Just a little tiny bowl at night-I swear. I have some little salsa bowls and I serve up one of those when I need a treat.
Oh, be strong my friend!!! The longer you resist, the stronger your resolve gets. Have your boys take them to their room and don't let you see (or smell) them! Or put them someplace in your cabinet that you don't use everyday so your kids can get to them but you don't have to be tempted. I thought about keeping mine for my family or the people I work with or whatever...but I realized that I would eat "just one" then "just one more", etc, then before you know it, they would be gone. So, I decided to take the advice of others and not even have them around. Whatever works for you...good luck, I know you can do it if you just set your mind to it!
