Thanks Kathy,
I will be joining you in the challenge.  I have become lazy, so I know exercise is also a part of getting "Back On Track."  I think I'm going to start today...even if its only 10 minutes a day, but I know one I get started it could turn into 45 to 60 minutes. Thanks for the  boost and the reminder.

Hi Genie,

Yea, I was like starting to slack off on food and exercise and there is NO WAY I want the weather to turn nice and be wearing big tops because I am not feeling good about myself.

I think we may want to take this challenge another 4 weeks to 12 weeks but lets do the 8 weeks and then go from there.

Thanks for joining us

Take care,
Kathy

I got back in the gym last week and made it 5 out of 7 days!  This is perfect timing, I have a week of Zumba and BodyPump classes lined up for this week so I am happy to join the Move to Lose thread!  Thanks for the inspiration Kathy...  Robin

I love Zumba but the Y was 1 of the things we had to cut out of the budget. I did just order a DVD that has the zumba moves.
I'll also be joining in. My main exercise will be in the morning. I want to do 20 minutes of some form of workout to help me not smoke. I am quitting on Monday. YIKES thats tomorrow. lol.
I commit to 30 minutes a day, at least, 5 days a week.
So that would be 50 minutes total each day

You are a brave lady to do both at the same time!!  But you can do it  If money is an issue and working out don't forget your local library has DVD's you can get for free and use.

Thanks for joining us!!!!

Take care,
Kathy

Count me in as well (thanks for the email reminder). Once I started the group  a month or so ago, I have tried to concentrate on one thing that I needed to get back into. Exercise was it. I figured since both exercise and eating had basically been pushed to the side i needed to focus on one, get it back on track and then the other would come soon behind.

Since then I have tried to exercise AT  LEAST 3 times at least.  I found the days I exercise, I eat less (psychologically I think... I don't want all the hard work I just did to go to waste over a cookie or a larger size serving than I should have had!!)  I have met that goal and often exceeded it. I am also looking for area 5k's to enter in. So with that being said, I love the idea of the bring back the sexy to get all of us moving back on track!

Thanks for putting this together! I just finished a get healthy challenge through a local gym/moms group. It was great incentive to stay on track and really establish a good exercise routine. I am almost 5 months post op and have noticed the munchies trying to return...being part of a group seems to give the support I need not to try to sample too much of anything! I have worked hard to get where I am at and still need to lose more. I look forward to good info on here...I can share some great stretches and nspirational lines if you would like!

Hi Sue,

I don't see what procedure you had so check with your surgeon first, but you may want to try eating more protein, and eating more often to help with the hunger.  And of course make sure it's real hunger and not head hunger.

You have come so far and you don't want to start down that path of not eating right.

We are so glad to have you!!!  And please do share anything you have that may help others.  That is why we are here, to share, inspire and keep each other honest!!!

Take care,
kathy
