Hey there everyone.  My name is Jessica.  This is my first time posting on this board.  Been lurking a few days.  I need to get back on track.  I had surgery in April of 2004.  I have lost  90lbs and basically maintained at 240.  I have been eating all the wrong things.  I was recently diagnosed with diabetes and osteoarthritis.  I am also very anemic as a result of not sticking to my vitamin regimen. So here I am to lay it bare for you in hope that someone can relate and together we can make it through this and all get to where we want to be.  Thanks for listening!

Hi Jessica, I am right there with you. My surgery was in April of 06. I lost 100 lbs and maintained for the last two years. But I can eat just about anything and that is scary. I also suffered from anemia partly from not taking my vitamins and also some female issues. My iron has stabalized and now I need to start acting like I had wls and stop eating everything in site.

We are here for you.

Welcome, Jessica~

You'll like it here--very safe place to vent, confess, get encouragement, share successes (no matter how tiny), or whatever.

I haven't been very successful at BOTTing.  Had a couple good weeks the last part of Jan.--posting to the accountability thread on most days--but after visiting old friends in Arizona this past week and eating/drinking like I was on a cruise ship, I am really down in the dumps right now and am having a hard time getting a grip again.

But I keep coming here and won't give up.

Always,
Jo

Hi Jessica,
welfire.gif Just poppin in to say hi!.  Listen, you can get back on track.  I had my surgery in 2000 and I have been able to lose 16 lbs. since starting BOTTing.  After all this time I just tell myself NO MORE!  There is no reason why I need to eat this junk.  I eat six times a day.  Protein first then veggies.  No sweets, white foods, and no large meals.  I exercise at least 4 times a week and now look forward to it!  Start journaling everything you eat, it really does make a difference.  YOU CAN DO IT!

Welcome Jessica,

WE are so happy to have you here

Take a look at the docs we ahve in the blog section.  They help remind us what the basics are.  Make a list of what you need to do to get back on track and then the best advice we are all learning here is baby steps.

If you try to change to many things to fast you will just back slide...  Also, write down what is going on in your head and heart when you eat all the wrong things.  We have to get it right between the ears to get it right everywhere else.

We are here for you!!!!

Take care,
Kathy
