Happy Wednesday to our BOTT friends,

Yeah my Internet and cable television are up!  I felt so out of touch without either of them.  Geez, what did we do before e-mail and the Internet??!!  LOL.

My doctor prescribed yet another round of antibiotics for my sinus infection.  I'm going to start charging rent to my sinus infectection if it doesn't go away soon.  Lots more hot tea and hot chicken broth today.

Here's my check-in:

CARDIO: My Wii Fit is waiting for me!

FOOD

B - Egg Beaters (plain)
S - CLICK
L - Chicken salad w/light Miracle Whip and relish
D - Morningstar Soy Sausages (6) and green beans
S - Power Crunch bar

CHECK IN:  Today is my 20th wedding anniversary!  Wow!  I get sappy pretty easy.  The annual events of anniversaries, my sons' birthdays, my wls anniversary types of dates are happy times that I reflect back to those special days.  I love reflecting back and enjoying those memories.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday BOTTing.

Have been feeling tired the last few days even with my B-12 so know that's a signal to eat a few more calories - which I did last night - Of course, I added more than I intended.  (What's new??? LOL)

Did I gain - Yep   But this is not a race - it's a lifetime   So, commit to being back on track today (Cathy, you have taught me it is not the day I get off track that's most important - it is the day after I've gotten off track when I get back on track that is THE important day)  Unfortunately my schedule will not permit me time to wal****il Friday.

Wish you all peace and joy and a fun Friday the 13th coming up

Yesterday I was very busy and ate not that much... or so I thought.  At the end of the day I counted all food, drinks, etc. and my prot and calories ... were exactly where the needed to be.  talk about mindless eating.  At the end of the day, after counting I realized that I have eaten 100 gr protein, and total cal 1250...
Where is my point? at this time in my life I need to keep my food journal since it is so easy to overeat, and forget that I have eaten as much as I did.

Today plan (though it may change)
S coffee + milk
B: yogurt + flax meal + prot
L: chicken stew (it is a soup that got really thick)
S: turkey stick, grapefruit
D: crab cake... (I hope)

Cardio: I will try to fit it in today - at least some weight lifting and 30 min on a treadmill

Tomorrow I have to go on a day trip, so I will be traveling and in meeting all day.  My day will start at 6:00 and I hope I will be able to get home by midnight.
I am planning to bring snacks (read - "food") with me for the trip, and based on last weekend experiance - I will make sure I have enough to last me for 2 days (if needed)

I need to rant: I think with as many obese people as there are in airports, there would be better choices of food at airports.  Most news stand stores (acctullly none that I have been into) carry any protein bars.  They have either candy, salted nuts (I can not eat them too often or on empty stomach) and other junk.   Last time I had a sandwitch that I only ate the inside of (meat and cheese) and that made me sick.  O, well...wish

Concern for customers' health - now there's a novel airport concept LOL

It's sure not a good choice, but I usually try to find hamburger in some form.  (And keep reminding myself that this is not a race, but a lifetime.  Sometimes I'm a whole lot better at doing that than others)

Wish you well

I wish burger was a choice... fat is not my friend... with the gallbladder removal sugary it is even worse... that is why nuts are also not a good idea on empty pouch, or by themselves...
I tried the "grilled chicken" but it was so gross (at the airport) that it end up in dumpster, and my second choice was the sandwich (not good either - was probably not fresh).

I am planning to bring protein bars, some trail mix ( home made, as a back-up for a second day in case I get stuck at airport again...- has dense calories, small volume), then some powder (can always mix it in water), HP beef sticks (something not sweet, yea....) and ? parable have some cheese sticks (low fat, individually wrapped), some cereal (mix HF HP - for snacking), etc, etc.

A portion of my carry on will be food...

Some places I can buy a banana, but airport apples get "stuck" - now isn't that funny?

Have any more ideas? (beef jerky are too hard...)

Sounds like a already have great ideas yourself - the last time was just that having to spend that extra day slipped up and blind-sided you.  The only other suggestion I have would be Campbell's Soup at Hand but they really need a microwave unless you are really DESPERATE then to tomato soup is OK (Bear in mind, I love tomato soup so my idea of OK may not match yours )

I love soups, but... some of them have sugar (I found that the hard way ...ouch) so I stay away from creamy soups while traveling.  Other than I can not take any liquids on a plane...   (did I mentioned I have to fly to Baltimore and back same day? ).  So most food needs to be small, portable, easy to carry, allowed on a plane, good for me....
not much to ask for?   That is why I am a bit ticked off that they do not carry protein bars in airports...

Thanks for ideas.  being a dumper (especially when I am under a stress), limits what i can eat an not get sick.  Did I mention that plain cold water makes me dizzy-nauseous?  And I dump on more than 6 oz of milk ?

FYI: when signing for RNY I was hoping I would be a dumper - this is an external force that helps me from overeating or eating foods that made me fat in a past (emotional -stress eating).
So, on one hand, I am complaining about not being able to eat at airports - on the other - it makes me stop and plan my "meals" when I have to travel, thus preventing me from overeating, or eating the wrong foods...

I say it is a blessing and a curse in the same time.

Last year I only went for a short trip and that was before surgery.  This year - I probably will be traveling a bit, and I am learning what I can, need to, do while I travel..
I used to "reward" myself with starchy food when I traveled in the past, so I had a habit   of eating muffins, scones, candies, etc. while traveling.  Scones were my favorites, but they are  no-no now.  I miss them, but I know I do not need that...making choices, changing habits, feeling deprived, it is a new challenge when I travel...

Though I found a "new reward" that is OK in moderation: Starbucks Small No-fat  latte" (normal or decaf). I usually do not drink coffee (well I am now) so it is a treat and has some protein and cal, no so bad as a "snack".

Happy Anniversary!!!  20 years, wow, that is a long time, I wish you many more years of happiness!

I started the 5DPT yesterday so my "eating" is nothing to report.  I had SF jello and pudding, protein shakes and TONS of water and decaf tea...

I didn't do any real cardio, unless you count 'skipping/jumping' throughout the house with my daughter for 10 or so mins :)

Check In:  Getting ready to move, hard to believe it is just around the corner, the 16th is my last day at work, and then I report to my new work location (same company) on 3/2.  My nerves are starting to kick into high gear, just seems like so much at one time... A new (and first) baby, a new house (that has not even started to be built), a new state (that I have never lived in), a cross country drive with 2 dogs and a baby, living in a small 2 bedroom apt till our house is done with previously mentioned 2 dogs, baby, sister and husband, deciding what has to go to the apartment and what the movers can put in storage... Oh how the list goes on!

I am glad I am doing the 5DPT this week, or else I think I would be eating everything in sight!

Have a great BOTTing Day!!!

RNY on 10/12/07 with
B - Veggie Egg White Omelet flatbread sandwich
S - 100 calorie pack of almonds
L - 3/4 cup cottage cheese
S -  Click & banana/peanut butter
D - Greek yogurt

I know this menu is boring but it works for me right now.  I'm so determined to reach my goal, it is the only thing on my mind these days.  I hope I will be able to reach it by the middle of March or before if I can.

Exercise - I'm going to take  back to back Jazzercise classes tonight so that will equal
90 minutes of cardio and 30 minute of core and strength training.  LOVE MY JAZZERCISE - it doesnt even seem like exercise and the time goes by so quick!!

Have a great day!!!!!
