Good Morning 5DPTers~

Well day one is behind us, and we are moving right along!  Yesterday was not as hard as I thought it would be, I was relatively shocked!

Hope you are doing well, and are able to stay committed...

I was thinking that maybe we could share some protein shake recipes, I really like this one (made it for the first time yesterday).  Not a ton of protein, but better then nothing, it also depends on the protein you use.
 

Vanilla Chai Smoothie by Andie Jamari
Page 12 - Neighborhood Cookbook

Ingredients:
1 cup skim milk
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 cup Splenda
1/3 cup unflavored or vanilla protein powder
3 teaspoons instant tea mix, unsweetened
3/4 teaspoons vanilla extract
3/4 teaspoons cinnamon
8 ice cubes

Directions:
Place all ingredients into blender container; cover and mix until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

Serve 2. Per serving: 110 calories, 16 grams protein, 11 grams carbohydrate and no fat.

not a 5 day'er, but I never refuse a good protein recipe!  This one looks good!

I really like it a lot, I did not have any of the tea it calls for and it still was very yummy!!  Hope you like it!

Hi Maureen,

No Problem...

Yesterday I had (not in any order)
100oz water
32oz decaf tea
32 oz SF Iced Coffee
2 SF Jell-o Cups
1 SF Pudding Cup
16oz Chicken Broth
2 Protein Shakes (the one in my first post)

Good luck to you (and everyone else) on the 5DPT this week.  You are doing great!  I will be starting on Monday and hope I have the will power to keep it going!
