Starting 5 DPT on 2/10

Morning BOTTers,

I am planning to start the 5DPT tomorrow (I was going to start on Sat, but that did not happen).

I was wondering if anyone would like to join me?  I figured it would end on the 14th in time to be able to eat yummy protein food for Valentines day :)

I always find it easier to do the test when others are doing it with you and are able to offer support!

Want to do that, but i have to travel on Thursday - so no way this week.
Actually I want to do 3 days clear liquids, 2 days full liquids, then the rest of the 5 DPT.  

I was on a cruise (read- overate), I traveled last week (read - bad foods or too much of them? - was in pain again), so I want to give my tummy a break.  It is hurting more that it does not.  My belly is tender and swollen.  All that from eating either the bad for me foods (not necessary bad for anyone else), eating or drinking too fast or too much... (once the pouch is aggravated everything seams like too much)

But I can start that on Friday or Saturday.  Thursday I will be traveling (all day trip) but hope I will make it home to sleep (late, but still...).  On day like that - I need easy to carry food, and drinks are not it.

Saturday I think I will start my 8 day - pouch rest program - that I hope would help me feel better overall. Limit carbs, artificial sweeteners, additives, sugars, etc.  trying good protein, mostly natural drinks and foods (I am planning to use unflavored protein to make drinks for my first 3 days). Only teas, no coffee (- need to give that up at least for a while) 
anyone interested in "quest for health journey" ?

Hi Denise,

I was actuallt thinking about starting that today but just didnt have the umph... So tomorrow its on! Ill be goin the DPT with ya.....Time to kill the carb addiction..

Wooohooo!  I have a 5DPT buddy, I am happy!  I remember reading your post the other day, at least I think it was you that said you are trying to lose the extra baby weight?  If it was you, I am right there with you!  I had my daughter on 9/30/08, I gained about 40lbs with her, and can not kick the last 20 or so.... so frustrating!

Good Luck with the next 5 days, I will be here if you need any support.  I am going to start a thread called Day X - 5 DPT I will try to check in a few times a day!

I will be there with you i had to modify my diet anyway before my surgery so count me in.
