I had my gallbladder out on Nov 12.  I put my ordeal on my blog, you are welcome to read.
In a way it was more pain than RNY, but it healed faster. But in my case they also fixed hernia, and that was what was bothering me the most. Ask the doc to check your insides and fix/remove adhesions (if you have any), check the bowels and possible hernia.

Wow, that's one way to get back on track! (just kidding)  Hope that everything works out OK.
