Back On Track Together
Pretty good day
Thanks to my new friends here and a place to "unload" I had a pretty good day yesterday. Ate good, walked and took most of my vitamins and water. All in all, not too bad-that is until the middle of the night. My house was broken into on Friday so I haven't been sleeping very well. In fact, most nights I end up on the couch. Last night I ate an english muffin w/peanut butter (not the entire muffin). I"m thinking of trying some tylenol PM to help me sleep - I don't want to start the night time eating again but I'm a little stressed at night. Any other suggestions???
I've heard of the 40/30/30 and just want to make sure I have it correct. 40% protein, 30 carbs and 30 fat????

Hi Diane!
I am sorry to hear about your house, I can not imagine! I am sorry I do not have any real advise to help you sleep, but I think the Tylenol PM sounds like a good idea (if it makes you sleepy, it does not work for me). As for the mid-night snack, at least you had some protein with it :)
Way to go on having a better day, it is amazing what this board can do for us.... Having some place to go for support and advise really does help!
I have never heard of the 40/30/30, I am waiting to see what others say about that!
Have a great BOTTing day!
Denise

Good grief - so sorry to hear about the breakin. I'm sure if I'd experienced that I'd be eating my head off - not just part of an English muffin. It's been my experience there are two kinds of people in the world - those who "just can't eat a thing" when they are stressed and those (like me) who can "eat a horse and chase its rider"
Can't help with the ratio - I'm a calorie counter myself. But I believe we need a higher percentage of protein to get our vital 60 grams a day. There will be others here who know about that.
So glad you're here
