Hey BOTTs

I wanted to talk about how we measure our success or lack there of from that little box with numbers.  Yea, the scale    How many of you are in scale hell ?

I can't tell you how many emails I get or posts I see where someone is doing great with their food, exercising and noticing a difference in their clothes and then when they get on the scale it all goes out the window because the box doesn't register the "right" number for them.    Or I have seen members getting on that box several times a day and think they have gained right after eating    What is up with that?

So BOTTs, here is my challenge to  you    Take this challenge and by the time we are done you will be out of scale hell

Get someone in your house to hide your scale, yes you read it right    Have them hide it and no matter how bad you beg they can't give it back to you.  Try it for 30 days, or start it on 2/1 and weigh yourself on 2/28

I know you are freaking out,   you are saying are you nuts.    But just think of the freedom you will feel, not stressing over did I go up one pound, am I losing like everyone else?  It's that time of the month and I gained what?

YOU KNOW IF YOU ARE EATING RIGHT, YOU KNOW IF YOU ARE EXERCISING OR NOT.  If you make the right choices the scale will be your friend in 28 days.

If you just can't do it and will jump off a bridge without it, at least give me 2 weeks OK

Come on, I double dog dare ya  Join me in the Scale Hell Challenge.

Count me in 2 week goal

Count me in 28 day goal

Take care,
Kathy

Hi Cindy,

I know, I know breath deep.  That is why I said let's start this on 2/1.  Gives you a few days to prepare

Be sure and find the person that will not give in when you are begging them for the scale

Thanks for joining...

Take care,
Kathy

I do weigh almost daily... and I know my weight fluctuates from day to day.... but I do know that when I was in a 3 week stall... the scale almost made me CRAZY!!!  My clothes were getting loser... but since the scale was not moving... I felt like a failure... even though.... I KNOW stalls are part of the process of losing weight!

Thank you for the challenge!

Helen

Hi Helen,

OMGosh I so know what you mean.  I was in a 9 week one and I almost took a long walk off a short pier...  I asked my DH to hid the scales and finally found my mind again.  It took a long time but the scale started moving again.

Take care,
Kathy

This will be the hardest thing to do while BOTTing.  Going from weighing in twice a day to weighing in every two weeks... I'm in -

I too suffer in scale hell daily. Even though I know I am more than a number I step on her daily, first thing in the morning, you know what I am saying! Thanks for giving us the double dog dare to help beat this beast. I fully understand that if you focus on your behaviors the results will follow. Yes, I am in....

Thanks,

Debbie

Alright Kathy, I'm going to take the challenge, but I can already feel myself going thru withdrawal.  I weight myself every morning!

Im in for 10 days!!!!
I had a phone consult with my nut and she told me to have my daughter hide the scale for 10 days.
It was weird, this am I got up went pee, looked down...... big gaping spot where my scale wasnt!!!!!!
But, I will say, here I was feeling all "woe is me" no weight loss in who knows how long.  Still wearing a size 14, been working out, tracking my food, owning my mistakes...blah blah blah..... went clothes trying today, fit into a SIZE 10 OMFG!!!!!!!!!! I didnt buy anything, but I will definitely hit the thrift stores in the next week or so!!!!!
Dam scale has been lying to me all this time!!!!
Let the challenge begin!!!!!

I take you challege as well.  But my other goal is to track my food daily and try and plan ahead as much as possible, because the scale is doing nothing and it is driving me crazy, hopefully in a month it will be nicer to me, after I work my butt of.

thanks so much
Kim
