Monday - BOTT Cafe & Cardio

Hi BOTTers,

I hope everyone had a great weekend! 

We have had a pretty easy winter so far but that is about to change!  We are under a winter advisory with freezing rain, ice and sleet starting this evening.  A couple of years ago, we had an ice storm and were without power for 13 days!  The majority of the area was without power.  We stayed at a hotel.  My kids are excited at the possibility of staying at a hotel again.  For them it was an adventure.  I'm sure hoping for power to stay on! 

Here's my check in for today:

CARDIO:  Fighting the crowds at the grocery store stocking up on non-perishables in case of a power outage!

FOOD:

B - 1/2 cup cottage cheese
L - Turkey and White Cheddar Kruncheez
S - Green beans
D - Southwestern Egg Beaters with extra veggies added
S - Power Crunch bar

Not a cheery prospect    Sounds a lot like our preparations when a hurricane is looming.

Wish you well and that Mother Nature decides to spare you from losing power this time

OMG 13 days!!!! I hope that doesn't happen again Cathy!!!!!! We've been slammed with double the snow so far, but no ice storms yet~those are the worst! I hope you can find all the stuff you need to get you thru just in case!!!!!!

I'm going to do 3miles WATP when I get off the computer


B~protein shake (dh got a new cookies and cream flavor and it was YUMMY!)
S~almonds
L~Salad w/chicken, cheese, croutons, ranch
S~activia w/blueberries
D~white chicken chili
S~protein bar or cottage cheese

Good morning BOTT'ers!!!

I have been away for awhile, but I am back and ready to do the darn thing.

I remember one year when Isabelle came rolling into my city and we were without power to 9 days. THAT HAD TO BE THE LONGEST DAYS OF MY ENTIRE LIFE!! We did manage to spend quality family time without the computers, games and TV.

My menu for today...
Pre B- Decaf coffee w/half scoop of Muscle milk protein
B- Kashi oatmeal w/half scoop of muscle milk protein
S- Fage w/SF strawberry preserves & splenda
L- Stuffed chicken breast
S- 1/2 c of cottage cheese w/cinnamon & splenda
D- Breast quarter minus the wing and skin w/2 tbsp of Baby Rays barbecue sauce
S- 2 SF popiclse & 1 SF jello

Thats 138 gram of protein....
at least 100 0zs. of water, crystal light, hot tea & decaf coffee
 
at least 45 mins of cardio

Yuck 13 days without power and i thought 7 days was bad..good thing we good wood stover. we went out bought generator now..we will be alset aleast have running water when i need it..and TV..

I did 33.25 mins on treadmil this morning 2 mile walk before bus run.. then hour on wii doing yoga and strength training.. love the advanced step..

We are expecting snow/sleet and freezing rain on Wednesday.  YUK!!!

I had a great weekend, stayed on track except for a couple of cookies :(

B - Veggie & Egg White flatbread sandwich from Dunkin Donuts (only 270 cals and high in protein)
S - Click and a 100 calorie pack of almonds
L-Banana/peanut butter
D-Pineapple Cottage Cheese & Fage yogurt mixed together
S - 100 cal bag popcorn

Exercise - 1 Hour of Jazzercise = 40 minutes of cardio and 20 minutes of strength training

My husband surprised me this past weekend with a Wii for my birthday!!  My shoulder is sooo sore from bowling LOL!!!  I love it!!!

I hate this cold weather!!!

Cardio:  I'm hooking up the Wii and Wii Fit tonight, so I'll probably spend some time on that.  If I can't get my turn, I'll hop on the treadmill for 30 min.

Cafe:
B: Fiber One cereal
S: 1/2 50 Gram Slam
L: Mixed greens w/ chicken, ranch, cheese, cukes
S: Cheese stick and summer sausage
     1/2 50 Gram Slam
D: ?

My food for the day:

B:  shake (kefir, banana, PB2)
S:  yogurt, bran muffin
L:  beef stew, SF pudding
S:  2 Hershey's kisses and 15 MM's (ok, wasn't on the original plan, but had been craving them since noon, so I did manage to hold off a couple of hours)
D:  1/2 sandwich, cottage cheese, SF jello

I'm working 12hrs today, so don't know if I will get any exercise in, but will try for 10 minutes tonight just so that I can get in something for the day!

Like you, Cathy, we are waiting for the snow to start here in south-central IL; it's supposed to come right through here and drop 4-6+" of snow!  After I got off work today (wow, I've been called to sub a lot lately; you can tell it's winter!), I headed to the grocery store and then to the gym.  So I'm late checking in here!

CARDIO:
40 min. cardio & 15 min. upper body weight training

CAFE:
B--low fat yogurt w/ chopped almonds & handful of blueberries
S--SB protein bar
L--tuna/cheese on 1 sl. whole wh. toast; another SB bar
S--cott. cheese w/ little dry sf jello mixed in
D--still working on the leftover bean salad; soy chips; handful almonds
S--apple chunks rolled in prot powder/Splenda; maybe later something WARM like diet hot choc. w/ some prot powd.

Hi Cathy:

I got in 45 minutes of cardio on the arc trainer today. 

My meals were okay...but I ended up grazing all day at work on empty calories but tomorrow is a new day.

Breakfast:  Strawberry Protein Shake

Lunch:  Chicken salad on whole wheat pita bread and mandarin orange slices

Dinner:  Baked ham and cole slaw w/ mini whole wheat bagel

Snack:  Way to many snacks
