Hi BOTTers,

Happy hump day!  We're in the middle of the work week! 

My big news is that I'm now a contact lens wearer.  I know that may not sound like a big deal but it is.  I've tried to wear contacts before but just couldn't do it.  Rather, I could do it but got frustrated and gave it up.  My vision has become not so great and I don't like glasses.  So, I was at a crossroads in wearing glasses or doing the contacts thing. 

I am wearing one for mono vision.  Very weird.  When you do mono vision, your vision is actually worse for awhile until your brain adjusts.  Weird to do something good for your vision yet not be able to see.  I hope my brain adjusts very soon.

I actually did very well considering I walked in there thinking very confidently that I couldn't do it.  After four tries, I got them in, took them out and put back in.  Small successes count!

Here's my check in for today:

CARDIO:  Hopefully soon!

FOOD:

B - 1/2 cup of cottage cheese
S - Veggie strips
L - Turkey and White Cheddar Kruncheez
S - Turkey jerky
D - Egg Beaters, Southwestern
S - Power Crunch bar

Good Morning BOTTers!

Today is another great day, it seems like ever since I became a mommy, I wake up in the best moods knowing that my daughter will be waiting for me to come and get her with a big "I love my mommy smile"....  Nothing warms my heart more!!!

Congrats on the contacts, I wore them for the better part of 15 years, (man, saying that makes me feel soooo old).  I finally gave in and got the laser surgery in 2007 and next to the gastric bypass, that was the BEST thing I have done for myself!  It feels so good to not have to wake up and 'feel' around for my glasses in the middle of the night, or run into walls once I took my contacts out!

Here are my stats for yesterday:

B- Slim Fast
AM S~ Banana
Lunch~ Toss green salad with a cut up turkey patty, vinegar dressing and a string cheese
Mid Day S~ 1oz almonds and jerky
D~ Chicken Nachos minus the chips (FF re-fried beans, cheese, Chicken, Light sour cream, salsa, olives and jalapenos)
PM S~ Hand full of Chex-mix

Liquid:
32oz SF Iced Coffee
70oz Water
12oz Iced tea

Vitamins:
1 flinstone
iron
vitamin b complex
calcium
magnesium
flax seed oil

Cardio:
Again, nothing... I am really starting to bum myself out... I try to set aside time at night to workout but it seems that something always comes up, the baby needs to be feed, or get a bath, or just held...  I know they are all excuses, I really need to make some time, even if it means staying up an hour later (go to bed at 1:30am instead of 12:30am)

Cathy, that sounds like a MAJOR achievement to me!   Somehow I just cannot bring myself to stick my finger in my eye

Yesterday was a strange one - kept changing my mind - the final outcome was, I neither walked in the mall (or any where else) nor did I eat out.  Felt good with my decisions

Today - I commit to a fine BOTT day, will eat at home, will not drink for 30 min after meals, will only drink a sufficient amt to swallow my supplements before meals, and will walk in the mall (even though right now I'd sure wecome a guilt free way not to do that - but there isn't one)

A bit closer to my goal weight today

Cardio - 45 mins of book bike and me time..... (that hour yesterday had my thighs complaining today, LOL)

Food -
pre-wo - 1/2 slice of ham steak
1 bottle of water
WO - 2 bottles of water
B - WW egg/bacon/cheese muffin
1/2 bottle of water
S - rtd protein in my coffee
L - roast beef and cheese rollups
1/2 bottle of water
S - primal strip
1 bottle of water
D - leftover hamburger and couscous casserole
1 bottle of water

I did not do too good yesterday...seems like when i am home i am better on protein...I am going grocery shopping soon so i can have protein readily available to me...

Cardio-30 min high intensity walking at work 3 rounds of stairs thrown in there for good measure...

I"m not sure about cardio for today~I had a work meeting this morning and want to go to support group tonite, so I really don't want to get all sweaty and then have to redo my hair and makeup, LOL! I know, excuses excuses. Maybe after support group I'll hop on the bike!

Food~

B~scrambled egg w/ham and cheese
S~protein shake
L~Salad w/chicken, cheese, croutons, ranch
S~protein bar
D~no clue!
S~probably another protein shake

Cardo - 1 hour of Jazzercise = 40 minutes cardio - 20 minutes of strength training

B -Veggie and Egg White Flatbread sandwich made with whole grain flatbread from Dunkin Donuts (very good)
S - 12 pretzels
L - 1/2 chicken and lettuce wrap - 5 french fries (it is good to be too full to eat more)
D - Baked Chicken Breast stuffed with cheese and mushrooms (from Walmart - very good)

I've got the exercise down, I love to Jazzercise and I take 7 classes a week, 5 regular 1 hour classes with cardio and strength training and two, 1/2 hour personal training classes.

Now I just need to get my grazing and nibbling under control.  If you would like to do a fun exercise class check out Jazzercise at www.jazzercise.com.  You will enjoy class.....

Kind of a boring day... usually at work I am rarely hungry but today I was starving.
