Back On Track Together
A GREAT BIG WIN
I LOVE it - Cookie Mafia, so help me BOTT, and Have a great day BOTTing. These are going in my inspiration/motivational document on my computer.l
Yea, those Girl Scout cookies are nasty nutritionally. It took me awhile to finally get that I couldn't do Girl Scout cookies. I LOVE them. I used to be able to eat a whole box! Whole box? YES. I hope this isn't too much information but I could put an entire Thin Mint in my mouth without taking a bite. Uck!
A few years post-op, I decided I could handle them. I bought some to be a good person, support Girl Scouts, and some other rationalizations I made to myself. I put them in the freezer (they are still good frozen), hid them from myself (hide and seek at Midnight is fun!) and I tried to live with them. I even went as far as putting them in the trunk of my car. Okay, this is really an embarrasing confession....I actually stopped my car on the side of the freeway, put on my emergency blinkers, got out a box and munched my way home!! It is funny now but I felt pretty low about myself doing that.
Just like we've posted in another post, I've divorced myself from sugar. I really feel that way. So, now.....I take the vow that I've also divorced myself from Girl Scout cookies too...so help me BOTT!
Thanks....this is a great thread.

So, what's so unusual about eating a whole box of GS cookies? I thought that was a minimum serving - kind of like a piece of cake is a cake that hasn't been cut - or if I can eat a whole egg, I can eat a whole chicken. Just normal, eh? NOT But that's the way I ate myself through years of my life. I feel so good to be free of that now! I used to think my "jokes" about food were funny - now I see them as a small way of letting go of a little of the negative self-image I had but wouldn't even let myself see.
I pledge to make my environment a "Cookie Free" zone
I also pledge to donate cookies to the military - didn't know that I could do that. That should quiet my social conscience cells
Have a happy BOTT weekend.

I did order a few boxes b/c my family enjoys them. I will most likely have a few, but will limit my intake this year b/c I am really trying to be good these days. I keep my goal of looking my best this summer in shorts, tanks and a swimsuit as my motivation to keep on track and make the right choices!!!!!!!!!
