Now there was Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's and we've survived.  And we know we have to watch out for Valentine's Day.  But then there's the stealthy one - GIRL SCOUT COOKIES.

Am I the only one who has used the worthiness of the cause as a "reason" (read big fat excuse) to induldge?  I walked into the break room just now, there was the cookie order sheet on the bulletin board, the mother of the Girl Scout selling them is one of my very favorite people, and I DID NOT put my name on it!  I'm going to give her $5.00 and make her promise she wil NEVER EVER let me put my name on  the order blank for the whole time it's possible to order cookies!!!!!

Will you please rise, raise your right hand, and solemny swear to consume NOT A SINGLE BITE OF GIRL SCOUT COOKIES, so help you BOTT!  Now, uncross your fingers, toes, hands, feet, and eyes, and take the oath again.

Enjoy this day - it's perfect for BOTTing

I love the Girl Scouts, but they are the most evil cookie pushers in the world :)  It should be some sort of law that girl scout cookies can not be as good as they are!  Thank God, I have not seen an order form or little girl in the green vests... I remember last year they were standing outside of all the stores and I felt obligated to buy from each of them, I mean after all they are the cutest kids ever...  This year I think I might just do all my shopping after dark, when I know they will not be at the entrance and exits of all the stores :)

Stay Strong, and remember, just say no :)

They should, at the very least, have a warning label on them as to how evel they are

You've got a good shopping plan.

Have a little fun today

Happy,

I know exactly how you feel.  As a child, I was only able to go to summer camp because of the cookies I sold.  And the experience was FANTASTIC!  So each year when the " Cookie Mafia" came around I would buy at least 10 boxes so that I was helping some other child to have the same opportunity.  My excuse was that I could freeze them and have them on hand for company.  The only company that saw them was me!  Sometimes I would share a few with my husband, but not many!

Post surgery, I know contribute the money to the child and tell them to keep the cookies.  I am sure if you wanted to actually purchase the cookies for a rest home or day care it would be greatly appreciated also.

I will vow that not a single bite of any GIRL SCOUT cookie will pass my lips, so help me BOTT!

If I was going to donate to a rest home, I'd have to order twice what I wanted to donate as I'd gobbl3e them down on the way there.

I'm proud of you for taking that vow!!!!  It is ot one we take lightly!

The sale here was in November.  I did buy a couple boxes, but I have found I don't like Thin Mints as much as I used to.  There's still an unopened box in my cupboard!

Good thing they no longer sell the Lemon Coolers... I still crave those!

It would never do for me to have them anywhere in my house - They would call me so loudly I'd just HAVE to eat them to quiet them down

We all have our favorites, but I don't think I'm so different from others in that I could be flexible - if I had already eaten my favorites, at great sacrifice LOL, I'd eat whatever other flavor I could get my hands on at the time!

Have some fun today

My daughter is a Brownie in the GS's.  Can I just go and hide until cookie season is over?!?!?!?!  No, I can't do that to my little girl.  I've got to put my "big girl" (not too big) panties on and face the "cookie monster" head on!  I will not eat cookies, I will not eat cookies.....maybe if I say this enough I won't give into the voices in my head......

Keep me in your prayers   We can ALL do this together!

Ash :)
