do you like orange julius???

i got this recipie off a search i did on here and this just happened to catch my eye so i copied it and saved it.  i haven't tried it yet but plan to tomorrow (have to go get ice, lol)

In the magic bullet OR blender

a splash of orange juice ( splash like half a cup)

a splash of skim milk ( a little less than the oj)

1 scoop unflavored protein powder( I think vanilla might work I haven't tried that)

1/4 t. vanilla ( This is why I think vanilla protein powder would work)

little splenda and ice

Blend

I use Body Fortress Whey Protein from Walmart.  It's easily accessible, mixes into stuff easily and it doesn't taste half bad.  There are other protein powders I like better but it's too much of a hassle to order 'em online.  The Nectar Vanilla, Chocolate and Cappucinno are all very good.

Here are a few of my favorite recipes:

Strawberry Protein Smoothie
8oz Crystal Light (whatever is made up in the fridge, but orange is best)
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (or strawberry if you have it)
4-6 frozen strawberries
1 heaping spoonful vanilla yogurt (optional)
Add it all to the blender and whirl until smooth.  If you use fresh strawberries, add ice for the frosty, frozen goodness of this one!  This one can be altered for any fruit.  It's great with pineapple or mixed berries or peaches or raspberries....  yum!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Shake
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1 squirt SF chocolate syrup
1 heaping tablespoon PB2
ice
Whirl in blender until it's smooth and frosty.

Chocolate Monkey
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1 small banana (of half a medium)
1 squirt SF chocolate syrup
ice
Whirl in blender until smooth and monkey-ish.

Cafe Mocha Protein Coffee
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1 tsp instant decaf coffee crystals
1 splash SF coffee creamer (in the flavor of your choice, or just use milk)
8oz ho****er

Two ways to do this one:
1) add it all to the blender and whirl until smooth
2) without a blender, add protein powder, coffee and creamer to mug - stir like crazy until you get a smooth paste with no lumps.  Add a little bit of ho****er - stir like crazy some more.  Add more water and stir, stir, stir.... slow and steady makes this smooth and lump-free.

Protein Hot Cocoa
1 scoop chocolate protein powder (vanilla works here too)
1 packet Swiss Miss Diet Hot Cocoa Mix
1 splash milk or coffee creamer
8oz ho****er
Same instructions as above.

Protein Chai Tea
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
4oz sugar free chai tea mix (it's a liquid)
1 splash of milk or creamer (optional)
4oz ho****er (or hot milk, depending on your preference)
Mix the protein powder with the cold chai tea mix, then heat it up in the microwave.  Add the ho****er or hot milk.

REMEMBER -- any of these recipes can be made into Protein Ice Cream!

Guess I'm a creature of convience.  I like RTD and drink Slimfast Low Carb.  4gm carb and 20gm protein.  It is not the Optima or High Protein.  Those both have alot of carbs.  Oh how the media and diet industry like to trick us!
