What's ur favorite protein shake?
So, I'v been doing RTD Atkins Advantage Vanilla shakes. I like them but, get bored after the 4th can is gone.....so.....
I'm thinking of making my own protein shakes (I've NEVER done this before)
Any suggestions....receipes?
I will honestly puke at a whiff of a "protein" smell....so nothing to protenie tasting or smelling....hope I'm making sense...lol!
We live in the boondocks....so I need products that can be found at Wally World or GNC so I can save a trip into Dallas.
TIA

My fav is:
LS Orange juice about 8-12 ozs
Banana
Frozen blue berries
Scoop of vanilla Whey protein
Blend...if you have fresh blueberries you can add ice. YUM!!! Use this with any combo of fruits. Great drink for after working out, to get that protein in...
Take care,
Kathy

My new favorite is CLICK double espresso mocha protein powder/drink. It blends great.
I also like Fit365. You can buy it on line. It is a little pricey but the chocolate smells like Nestle Quick (back from my childhood memories). It is so good that you can mix it with water. I also put in some PB2 and some DaVinci sugar free peanut butter syrup. Yummy!
I will say that I am a very picky protein drink person. The texture must be a certain way, no weird aftertaste, not have that protein taste etc. Both of these do the trick for me.

Ash - I love my Unjry protein!!!! Just went out to the kitchen and took a big whiff of mine and as far as I can tell it just smells like chocolate. It is only available on line (www.Unjury.com) It is available in single serving packets or 17-serving canisters. The canisters are cheaper and if you find you like it, an option is to order 6 canisters which wil cost you no shipping and since they are sealed they last forever. The flavors are Chocolate, Vanilla (the two is use) strawberry and unflavored (which can be added to anything) and Chicken Soup which is a little tricky because if you get the water too hot the protein coagulates into little balls which stop up our opening. Each serving (the canisters have a serving-size scoop) is 20 grams of protein and 100 calories. The reason I use it is 1. I really like the flavor and 2. I know it is a high quality product. As you can tell, I'm really entusiastic about this product. I still have at least one protein supplement a day to be certain I get my 60 grams in. I don't make shakes - my favorite use is 1 pkg Quaker Instant Weight Control oatmeal - 1/2 water & 1/2 sugar free syrup (which coffee shops use to flavor their coffees) which I then nuke (I nuke for 1:03 - not for any sensible reason, but because I like the design of pressing 1-0-3 on the keypad) when it comes out of the microwave I stir in my serving of protein powder and enjoy. I'm sure I've told you way more than you want to know - but sometimes I'm a chatterbox.
