Back On Track Together

A much better day

If you ever doubted words have power, come share my journey yesterday with me.  I started the day having just come to the realization I had been lying to myself and to you dear folks - the only clothes I can wear now that I wore when I reached goal were my slacks with elastic at the waist.  I felt like scum of the earth and was absolutely certain none of you would ever want to have anything to do with again.  I kept checking and seeing that people had viewed my message but had not responded - couldn't possibly be because they were rushed and didn't have time to write - there could only be one reason and that was they were so disgusted they wanted nothing to do with me just like I thought (and thought is the operative word here).  Then, as the day wore on I began to get the most caring supportive, encouraging words from BOTTers and the sun came on in my soul and I had a very good day - still wasn't proud of myself, but I did forgive myself.  I urge you to never pass up the opportunity to express your heartfelt support to others.  I can assure you it made all the difference in the world to me!   Could I have turned my thinking around without your kind words?  Yes, I COULD have, but WOULD I have?  Probably eventually but I would have wallowed in pain a whole lot longer1  And, thank goodness, I didn't have to do it alone for you were there for me!  Thank you so much!

One thing I learned, is the sooner you reach out, the shorter time you have to suffer because help will come.  (Really, don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today - or in my case  yesters, don't put off for even 5 minutes what you can do right now!

And, oh yes, I overjoyed to report I stayed on track all day and night!

Hope you all have a very fine day

I'm glad that you had a good day and stayed on track.  Yeah you!

I don't think that you lied at all.  I think you became aware yourself, realized you hadn't been aware and then shared with us.  I know that all of the support you received is in the circle of support that we all give to each other and take when we need it for ourselves.

Thanks for being there for me and for all of our group.

That's what I love about this site~you can be at your lowest point, but there's always someone there that understands and will help in any way! I wasn't around yesterday so I missed your post (I'll go back and check it out), but I'm glad you're feeling better about things. We all make mistakes, but its how we handle the difficulties that truly matters~pick yourself up, dust yourself off, forgive yourself and move on! Today's a new day, so make the most of it!!!!!
