Wednesday - BOTT Cafe and Cardio

Cathy W.
on 1/13/09 7:48 pm
Hi BOTT!

Thanks to everyone that posts on our Cafe and Cardio.  Remember that there is an "and Cardio" so we can share our food and exercise/activity/movement as it all counts.  Whatever your exercise, activity or movement is, share it here too.  We all benefit from our own accountability and what other BOTTers do.  By posting your food and exercise/activity/movement, you inspire other BOTTers too.

CARDIO:  None yet.  First priority is being able to breathe consistently and without an inhaler.  Exercise is coming soon though.

CAFE:

B - 1/2 cottage cheese
S - Chicken or CLICK (CLICK if caffeine is needed, chicken if not!)
L - Turkey and White Cheddar Kruncheez
S - Veggies
D - Southwestern Egg Beaters
S - Power Crunch bar (Vanilla)

Have a great BOTT day!

Cathy

I commit to a BOTT day and night.  My schedule will not permit me to exercise today so cut back a bit on my breakfast calories - still made sure I got my 20 g  of protien!

Thanks to a BOTT day and night yesterday, I'm a wee bit closer to my goal weight this morning.

Good Morning Cathy~
Ok, this is going to sound like a very dumb question, but I really nee to be held accountable for what I put in my mouth and what I do as far as working out...  Do I post what I ate yesterday on this post, or what I plan/am eating today?

Told ya, dumb question, but I do not want to be the "crazy lady that doesn't know her head from her butt" :)

Take care,
Denise

Not a dumb question, Denise . . . since I just started posting a couple days ago, I haven't been exactly sure about the "when" part.  For me, it usually works better to post a little later in the day/evening and report what I've eaten so far and what I anticipate for the rest of the evening.  From other accountability threads (other than BOTT), I've noticed that some people post about their previous day.  On this board, it seems like most put what they have planned for the coming day.  So I was also glad to read Cathy's reply to your question and know that we can just do it how we want!

Always,
Jo

Hi Denise,

There are no dumb questions here on BOTT!  It is actually a great question.

You can use the accountability or check-in BOTT C&C any way that works best for you.  If you want to commit your food and activity for upcoming day, that's great.  For some, they prefer to come in and join the thread after the day is over and share what they've done for the day.  You can also post on a previous BOTT C&C if you forgot.  In other words, what works best for you is the way to do it.

For me, it has worked out to start out my day with a plan and commit to myself and all of you what I am going to do that day.  There are times throughout the day that a thought of eating a little of this or that thinking will come up.  The fact that I've already committed on the BOTT C&C thread has been very helpful to not go there.  For some, knowing throughout the day that they'll post what their exercise/activity/movement an food have been does the same thing.

The goal of the daily thread is for all of us to be accountable to ourselves and to share with other BOTTers.  Also, go into as much detail as is best for you either with food or exercise.  In whatever works best for you is what we use the daily check in.  After all, the thread is for you and other BOTTers.

You can do it your way!

Hi BOTTs!

I am getting ready to go visit my 3 little grandsons in St. Louis for 3 days!    So I may not be able to post very regularly, and I definitely won't be able to do any "official" workouts at the gym.  However, I will come home exhausted after all the active playing we will do!  They are ages 6, 3 1/2, & 1 . . . need I say more?

I will actually be able to stay BOTT while there better than I do at home!  My d-i-l is very health-conscious and cooks wonderful, nutritious meals, and they do minimal snacking.  So there won't be the temptation to mindless graze with no one around!

I will try to check in a couple times; otherwise, I will be back on Sat. morn.

Always,
Jo

My plan for the day...

Exercise:  Tonight is support group night.  If I get home early enough, I will do 30 min on the treadmill.

B:  2 bites of cake and 2 bites of PB (not off to a great start, but I get back on track)
LB:  activia light and a banana
S: 1/2 50 Gram Slam
L:  Leftovers - a mix of meats, veggies, and bad carbs (Hubby packed it, and I will probably eat it.)
S:  grape tomatoes and a cheese stick
LS:  1/2 50 Gram Slam
D:  Eating at Support Group - Soup, and I'm taking bean salad.  I'm sure I'll be sampling whatever else is available.
