Back On Track Together
My Intro
Hello BOTTers~
I just wanted to take a few seconds to introduce myself. My name is Denise and currently live in El Paso, TX however, we will be moving to VA next month. I had RNY in March of 2005 and was happy with my results. I was able to get down to 150 but really maintained at 154 which I was absolutely fine and happy with.
I got pregnant in Jan of 2008 (and gave birth 10/30/08 to the most beautiful little girl on earth!) and gained 36 or so pounds. I have lost 15 of the pounds but am now at a stand still and am getting very frustrated with myself. I cried all night the night before I was due to come back to work from maternity leave on 1/5/09 because NONE of my work pants fit me. It is not like they were just a little tight, they did not even pull all the way up, not EVEN CLOSE!!!
I found this site because of Ash from the post op pregnancy board, and as she stated, I do not feel that the pregnancy board is the proper place to ‘vent’ about my weight.
I hope to gain support and knowledge from you all, and most importantly I hope we can all help each other reach our goals!
I look forward to talking with you all!
Denise

Hi Denise,
Welcome to BOTT. We're glad you're here. We have a fabulous group of BOTT members. I hope you'll feel right at home here.
This is just a temporary situation due to your pregnancy. You gained an appropriate amount for your healthy little girl. You lost it once and you WILL do it again. Just go back to the basics of worked for you before, stay on that track and you'll get there. It may be slower but you will get there.
Again, welcome!
Cathy
