Back On Track Together
Zumba?
I've checked out Zumba's website numerous times. I don't have their dvd's but it seems as though it is dancing exercise. Intense fast dance so much that it turns out to be a workout.
I was disappointed in the site because I wanted more text information as far as what it is all about and just more details.

I was at an OH event where they did a demo and it's dance, dance, dance...with a kinda salsa flare. It's fast pace and those that have posted on my exercise thread loves it. But they do say it's hard at first but they love it Find a local place and see if you can take a complimentary class for free to see if you are going to like it...
Let us know what you think and share with us BOTT's...
Take care,
Kathy

i zumba and i absolutely am in love. if you like to dance, you totally need to do it. hell even if you hate dancing, it is such a fun work out. you sweat your arse off and it burns anywhere from 500-1000 calories a work out.
i go twice a week for 60 minutes each time (so far) and i've been walking 1.4 miles twice a week. i have never never ever attended an exercise class but this i can do. i started off going w/ friends but both bailed on me tonight and i still went by myself YAY ME!!!
you definitely should at least try it. yeah you'll feel goofy the first few classes until you get the routine down, but once you got it down you will walk out of their feeling so good. i have posted a clip in another thread on here, but i'll post it here too. you can also look up zumba on youtube and see some different variations of routines they do.
this is what i saw that got me hooked and i tell you what i danced at my computer all night long to this music. even carmen is all about zumba. i came home from zumba tonight and pulled this video up on my cpu and me and the kids did the first routine lol

If any of you are interested in dance aerobics check out Jazzercise, their website is www.jazzercise.com . Their website has all kinds of neat stuff on it. Jazzercise is fun but not hard to follow, it is good for beginners and veterans alike. Jazzercise has been around for almost 40 years....I have been involved in Jazzercise for 24 years, not many programs can say people have been in one program that long, but it is fun, always fresh. The music is music you listen to on the radio such as music by *****cat Dolls, Pink, Timberlane, Timberlake, Brittany etc. The choreography is fun but never too hard and can always be modified to fit your fitness level.; The instructors will show different ways to do moves so you do what is best for you. Jazzercise is all over the country and internationally. I know they are offering a big price reduction special the last week in January so find a class nearest you and go to the class website for specials in your area. The reason I'm so passionate about this is that I taught Jazzercise for 9 years and loved every minute of it. I know you will love it too if you just give it a try. It is not like exercise at all and everyone is so friendly.
