I did much better on my protein intake today!!!!

Drum roll........ 90.1 grams of protein as of 8:22 pm tonight!

I'm so proud of myself at dinner.  I made sure I left my water bottle in the fridge so I wouldn't be tempted to drink at dinner. I stopping drinking my water 30 min. before dinner.  I even waited 1 hr. after dinner before I got my water bottle back out of the fridge.  * I can do this * !!!!!!!

Yesterday was a bad day....and my *first* day BOT  I only had 46.6 grams of protein yesterday.  I'm taking it one day at a time.

Tomorrow I will work on getting my water intake up!

I joined *fitday.com* yesterday and it's helped me see what I was doing so wrong with my eating!!!!

Wish me luck......

Ash :)

Ash, way to go.. and congrats.    I just signed on to start a post but yours fits my topic perfectly.   I'm having a tought time planning and putting my priorities in order.  I know I need to grab control right now before I feel its out of control.  I have a pantry full of all kinds of protein bars and powders.  I have fresh chicken,  frozen salmon, talipia.  I have cottage cheese, yogurt... I have veggies.. vitamins    I just need to put a plan together to use it.  Its to late tonight, so I'm not even going to pretend I'm gong to set things up now... I'm going to bed and going to get an early am start .. Monday is a good day to start (didn't plan it that way)   I have my mini baggies so I can pre-measure my cereal (for days I want to have cereal) and other food stuffs.

I said before that I have a hard time with planning.. its not making the plan its keeping with the plan.  So I'm going to baby step planning.  I'm not going to plan my whole day out.. I'm going to work on my protein and healthy foods.

Tomorrow, I will have oatmeal for breakfast made with milk no****er (for the added protein)  I have some kays natural snacks at work along with some protein bars (smartforme wafers, twisted protein and oh yeah bars... I know not the best but they all have 15 grams of protein and are less than 200 calories.  the smartforme and oh yeah I usually only eat half at a sitting..   I will pack some of my smartforme cold drink protein mixes and I have another one (can't remember the name) of a grape one that is very tastey... its one that is liquid so it mixes easier.

For lunch, I'm going to attempt a liquid lunch but that one is not set in stone ....   should I say this is my cycle week... that can be in my favor since I usually lose my appetite that week yippee...   light bulb just went off on my eating the past few days.. I lose my appetite during my cycle week but want to graze the week before...

Dinner right now is lets see how it goes .... as long as its healthy

I will also exercise  a minimum of 30 minutes each night this work week... wether it be turning on my wii fit, walking on the treadmill, working on my total gym or trying tae bo for the first time..  looking for a good price on a zumba dvd - anyone know a good place to find one.

wow I didn't mean to type so much..

This will work, I will succeed.. It has to .. Maria

Hi Maria,

I like your plan.  You've really thought it through very well.  You've got it down as far as your commitment of food and exercise.  I liked reading your plan and thoughts about each thing.

Have you tried eBay for Zumba?

You didn't type "so much" at all.  That's the great thing about BOTT is that we're all on the same page as far as our goal to be on track.  Everytime I read a post here it is a further incentive for me to stay on track.

Great plan!  Thanks for sharing.

Ashley~

Welcome to Bott!  So glad to have you!

You did great on your protein.  Remember that it is one thing at a time.  I think that if we try to change too many things at once, then something gets forgotten or left out!!

tomorrow work on your water and then go from there.....make adjustments as you go, but YOU CAN DO IT and WE CAN DO IT TOGETHER!!!

Have a great evening.

Hi Anjanette,

Fantastic post.  You're right - doing it together is the way to go.  Individually we can do it and together makes it easier.

I like your saying at the end of your post about no excuses - just do it.  You're right!

Hi Ash,

Leaving your water in the fridge is a great way tomake sure you don't drink with meals.  Fabulous idea!  I know you can do this because YOU ARE.

I'm taking it one day at a time too.  It is hard because I'm used to looking ahead, planning, etc. If I take it one day at a time and sometimes one meal at a time, it goes better for me.

I think you'll like Fitday.  It has helped me a lot.

The very best of luck to you!

First of all THANK YOU!  To everyone who took the time to respond, and give a few sec. of encouragement and motivation!!!!

Second of all I am so super amazed at how loving, sweet and friendly everyone on this board is.

Don't get me wrong, I liked being on the post-op pregnancy board but, the kindness I've found in y'all here is so much better than the other board.  The people here seem genuine and not phony.

Thanks to everyone.....

Ash :)
