Hi All,
My name is Kathy & I've gotten way off track.  I had my open rny on Jan 24, 2006 (almost 3 years ago).  I have regained 37 lbs in the last 6 months.  I have had an endoscope & everything checks out ok, so it's nothing mechanical.  I am a grazer---there I said it.
I got a Wii Fit for Christmas, but then fell on the ice & hurt my hip,so it's not even out of the box yet.  I'm really glad to find this forum.  I am soooooo ready to get back on track!

Hi Kathy,

Welcome to BOTT.  We have a great group of BOTTers so I hope you'll consider this board another one of your OH hangouts.

It is good that you checked out the mechanics of your surgery to know that everything is fine.  Grazing, in my opinion, is probably one of the number one reasons we regain weight.  Unfortunately, I speak from experience.  I lost my regained weight and one of the habits I had to ditch was grazing.

I also got a Wii Fit for Christmas too.  I'm sorry you hurt your hip.  Ice is a rough thing whether you drive on it and especially if you fall.  When you get a chance, you'll have fun with Wii Fit.  There are all different "games" to move to.  My favorite is the step one.  You use the balance board so it isn't a big elevation.  I'm getting over being sick but before I got sick I had gotten to the highest level of the steps.  It is fun.  I'm competitive with my own scores and my sons love to try to beat mom's scores so we have fun.

Again, welcome!

Cathy

Hi Kathy,
I went through the same thing.  I had my endoscope and they found that everything was in working order.  So I had "proof" that it was me eating too much junk.  Joining BOTT will help get you back on track.
Good luck with the hip!

Hi Kathy,

I am also from NY, a bit more northern than you but I am always looking for someone in my area that I can connect with.

I just ordered the WWii fit and I can't wait to get it.  I have heard so many good things about it.  Let me know what you think.
