Back On Track Together
Introducing myslef
I'm Ashley! I'll try and make this as short as possible as I tend to get long in my typing at times...lol
I had Lap RNY in August 2007.
Pre-op 230 lbs. ( no diet before surgery ) Surgeons goal weight 120 lbs.
5 months post-op 144 lbs.
I unexpectedly got pregnant at this time......I gained up to 160 lbs.
Gave birth 10-2-08 to miss Skyler Sayge (baby#2 but, my first post-op pregnancy) I have another child Savannah Sierra she will be 6 yrs. old very soon.
2 weeks post-partum 140 lbs.
Current weight 137 lbs. I need to lose 17 lbs. to reach *goal*
I eat wayyyyy to many carbs and fat. I'm only getting about 45-50 grams of protein a day. YES very BAD!!! I am very ashamed to say that out loud.
I drink wayyyy to much sweet tea. I only drink maybe 40 oz. of water a day.
I flat out don't exercise since I had Skyler. Before her I would walk 1.5 miles 7 days a week. Now I'm so off track!
I'm here because I need help! I've had great support from the post-op pregnancy board but, I hate to talk about me there when everyone is talking about being pregnant and I'm post-partum now.
Nice to meet everyone.....
Ash :)
Remember, if Savanna was doing (or not doing) something hurtful to herself, you would tell her to change and expect her to mind without "voting" on whether or not it was easy or she wanted to. Just be as loving and firm with yourself as you would be with her. YOU CAN DO IT.
I'm so glad you are on this site. I have found a very caring and helpful group of folks here!
Welcome to our BOTT group. We have a fantastic board of members all with the same goal united in being back on track together/staying back on track together.
Ditto to what Happylapbander said to you. You already know what changes you need to make.
17 pounds is within your reach. I bet if you adjusted the sweet tea to possibly unsweetened tea but sweeten it with Splenda or other sweeteners, there would be a great deal of lost calories. Water, as I'm sure you know, will assist your weight loss.
Your daughters would love any time with you and you'd expose Savannagh to exercise with mom as fun time together.
Please post anytime and any length. We are here for each other with support, motivation and good information.
Welcome!
