Saturday - BOTT Cafe & Cardio

Hi BOTTers!

I hope your week back to our normal routines went well.  If it was less than you hoped, no big deal.  Every single day is an opportunity to get right back on track and especially with all of us in our BOTT group.

I was doing great with staying on track.  Then, it happened!!  We received a huge gift pack of numerous boxes of mixed nuts, chocolate truffles, chocolate carmel popcorn, and tons of other things that I won't go on to mention.  So far, so good.  Before our BOTT here and the accountability I feel for myself and for our group we've created with all of us, I would have dived right in. 

This is important for me to do because I'm hearing those pretty boxes of junk calling my name.  I'm committing to NOT get into the boxes, grazing, or eating a single anything in the pack.  It will be hard but I will do it.  I promise to report tomorrow how I've done today.

My food for today is:

B - 1/2 cup of cottage cheese
S - Turkey Jerkey Steak Jerky or some chicken (don't know which sounds best right now)
L - Turkey and White Cheddar Kruncheez
S - Green beans with Kernel Seasonings Ranch flavor
D - Egg Beaters (they really fill me up)
S - Vanilla Power Crunch bar

I'm going to try to do a few minutes on my Wii Fit for activity.  I'm feeling a slight bit, teeny tiny bit. 

I know this is going to be a difficult day because of those trigger foods all sitting on the counter for my hubby and boys.  I am going to consider it THEIR food and not mine.

YOU'RE DOING GREAT!  When you hear those boxes calling your name, just shout back at them, "Thanks for reminding me you're my eneemies!!!"  Your friends are here.  I've found that when I think positively to share with others, it does something magic for me - I think positively to share with me.  If you want to send me a message a minute (can just be I'm winning or simply HI" feel free to do so.  Doesn't have to be anything profound!  (Except, for us, what is more profound than overpowering those boxes - a minute at a tim?)  You wouldn't even consider taking food from your babes mouths!  Just like you tell your boys to do (or not do) something because it is harmful and you expect them to mind you - be kind enough to do the same and expect you to mind you.  You might also turn your thinking around from "this is going to be a difficult day"  to "I'm going to go through this day with style and grace"  It's all in our thinking and since you haven't lived the day yet, why not use your imagination to create joy?

Consider yourself hugged for your support here in this post. 

If the situation were flipped and I was supporting you with your boxes that I have, I'd say the exact same thing to you. 

You are right - I'm more powerful than those stupid little boxes.  I'm going to remember until those things are gone and in the trash.  You also remind me of something that I've said this week and that is to be on track is much better than any food.  The little box junk will last a very short time compared to the feeling of being on track that lasts continually.

You picked up on what I meant.  I'm consider those boxes my sons.  They'll eat them in moderation and are excited about the new things they've never had before.  If I consider the boxes "theirs" it doesn't belong to me at all. 

Okay, you nailed me and I didn't even pick it up....."This is going to be a difficult day" - duh, is that setting myself for a self-fulfilling day or what?  To quote you, "I'M GOING TO GO THROUGH THIS DAY WITH STYLE AND GRACE." 

Thanks for your insights.  I really needed them.  You've given me a shot of pure inspiration.

I've made it! No boxes even though they screamed an invitation for me to open them.  I've read your post and others on our board and I've made it.

Thank you so much for your support.  It means a lot to me plus it helped me make it a BOTT day.

It's snowing like crazy here and I am bummed...sniffle, I want sun shine   I will be down in the basement today getting it organzied as the weather is keeping my workouts inside more than going to the gym.

I know how you feel. I agree this group is wonderful. Last week went by fast and it was great. Next week I start back school and am working 8hrs during the day and school at nite so I have a challenge ahead. But I have faith in ME!

B- 4 slices of bacon w/1 slice of cheese
S- Protein Shake
L- Chilli (1cup)
S- porkskins (1 ounce)
D- Grilled Chicken Salad
S- Pudding

900am - 20 oz crystal light calcium

sometime today i will eat
my usual oatmeal
cauliflower cheese soup
ricotta bake

after looking at the time, I realize I need to eat something NOW, my eating schedule is all jacked up, now I got to try and fix it, plus I just got a heads up about a possible c section  which means i cant eat till after that happens

Hi, Bottsters!
Those that replied to my post yesterday really helped me put everything intoa healthy perspective.  Thank you so much!  I think beating myself up over STUPID minor things is something I definitely must work on.  It's like it's automatic.  If things don't go the way I think they should, I am a failure and just feel awful.  It sets me up for more failure.  I need to change that. 

I began my day with a protein shake, and then went into work for some appointments.  Noticed some evil person left lots of their holiday goodies in our office, ugh!  But, I'm not hearing anything call my name, so I plan on being okay today!

B- Protein shake, coffee
L- homemade beef and chicken chowder, 1 dannon lite yogurt
S- Hot CLICK
D- slice of white pizza with brocolli, maybe some salad
s- if I feel I need one, I will have a protein shake or some scrambled eggs or some soup---those are the only options I'm giving myself.
