Hey Susan,

Baby steps my friend, baby steps...You are here and posting asking for help and that takes one gusty person.  Take  your successes and build on them.  You are here, you are making the choice to not eat a big piece of cake and threw it away.  That is FANTASTIC

You are so close to your goal so think of that as a huge success as well.  Stay off the scale
I bet you are in scale hell    Where you are on that puppy so many times  you see your body weight go up and down like your esteem.

Track your food if you are not doing so, write down how you feel.  Try to prepare for next weeks pit falls and head them off with the right foods.  If you feel like you are going to eat, go for a walk. If you are at work, take a bathroom break and walk the stairs...

If all else fails come here and post a 911 - we will come running and talk you down off the ledge

We are with  you!!!

Take care,
Kathy

My week was grand - thank you very much for caring   Had two major "biggies"  First, yesterday morning I forgot to weigh (chasing down the cat to medicate her before I had to leave for work) and I didn't panic, nor accuse myself in my head of denieal - know I had eaten well and walked the day before so felt secure  Secondly,  Today was the birthday of one of my favorite co-workers and he dearly loves Krispy Cream doughnuts (don't we all! LOL but he is skinny as a rail)  I brought two dozen in for our staff meeting this morning and DIDN'T EAT EVEN ONE TEENY TINY MORSEL.  And, more importantly, I'm not feeling sorry for myself, I'm feeling very very proud of myself!

Have a fine weekend BOTTers  WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER - YES WE CAN!!!!!!

Looking back, this has been a successful week - despite a few bad choices.  I'm conscious about what I'm eating and drinking, and I'm back on the exercise wagon.  When I want to quit the treadmill at 16 minutes instead of 30, I think of this group.

As I said, I did make some bad choices.  Once I get home from work, all H*}} can break lose.  This week, I've set out some good foods to nibble on as I wait for supper to be ready.  That helps, but then after dinner, I cave to sweets.  Yesterday, I did throw out chocolate (yeah!).  But that was only after my third day of throwing up. I told DH that early in the week I blogged about wanting to get sick on sugars, and I got my wish.  I've thanked the Lord each day for listening to this particular wish.

As I head into the weekend, I'm going to have to think of a strategy for staying on track.  There is lots going on tomorrow, and I struggle when I'm not on a schedule.

Have a great weekend fellow BOTTs!

Hi Kris,

We are so proud of the wonderful job you have done this week  Try eating a protein bar on the way home from work and then when cooking dinner chew gum.  Chewing gum got me through the holidays and I didn't nibble or graze when I was chewing gum

Try my Fage yogurt for a night snack and see if that satisfies you at night.  It takes a little more time but the reason we all were so successful in the beginning is we took the time to plan and prepare.  Take a few mins tonight and make a list of what is going on this weekend for you and write down some plans of attach (yes  this is a war)   you can utilize to stay on track.

If you don't have a clue come here and post for some suggestions....

We are so happy to have you here and stay strong this weekend!

Take care,
Kathy

Thanks Kathy for the kind words and suggestions.  I'm heading into today with a plan... I've had a banana w/ PB for B, lunch will be chicken salad, dinner is an eggplant dish.  Snacks will have to be protein.  Funny thing, yesterday, my DH bought me some protein bars in his effort to support me!

Hello everyone!!!!
Well this week has bee interesting for me.  I have always written down my food, but never kept really good track of protein carbs, and all that stuff, so this week I commited to entering everything in the dailyplate, and I have done it, the good the bad and the ugly.
But looking back I dont really see that much ugly there, last night I went out to dinner with my kids and we all 3 split 1 dessert, and we even left about 1/4 of it there.
I have gotten to the gym 3 days this week and 1 day of splashing around in the pool with my daughter, who pointed out that climbing all the stairs up to the waterslide should count as exercise, and I am really actually bummed that I am working today and all weekend and probably wont get to the gym.
I have been pretty good at staying away from the kitchen at night, that is my hardest battle, the boredom munchies.
And last but not least I just passed my 1 year mark, with a loss of 113 lbs.  I have been off work for 21/2 weeks and people are telling me that it looks like ive lost more weight, i thank them, but I wonder if I should tell them I look different because I got brave and have started wearing makeup to work.... I have never done that before ever..... my new confidence made me do it!!!!!
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE

Hello Vivienne,

Wow, you have a lot to feel proud of

If you can't get to the gym, try walking during breaks and or stairs.  When you feel like eating at night, take just 15mins and walk outside, or turn on the music and start dancing   Anything to get your mind off of those chips that are calling your name..

Congratulations on your weight loss and your 1 year young

We are so lucky to have you here... Keep up the great job!

Take care,
Kathy
