Back On Track Together
Friday Reflections!
Hello BOTT's
I thought it would be nice to have a week ending post where we could come and share how the week went. By posting here we can see what worked for us and what didn't. Help each other with suggestions, support and a few laughs
This week was an empowering one for me. Just knowing this group was here kept me from falling into some bad choices. Posting my food in the BOTT cafe post and working out. I didn't get the workouts as much as I wanted, but as Cathy said baby steps. I did really well with my water, and eating and surprise, surprise, surprise, it works... I started out first thing with drinking 500 ml of water, then waited the 30 mins and ate my oatmeal with protein. Drank another 500 ml of water and then had my snacks like protein bar, protein smoothie with blueberries, banana, LS orange juice. Then more water. Lunch with protein firs****er after 30 mins. Snack of protein, like apple with LF peanut butter. Water, Dinner, protein first with complex carb (I forgot how good a baked sweet potato is with butter spray, cinnamon and sweetner) and veggies. Water and my favorite snack of Fage yogurt, SF syrup, fruit and a scoop of whey protein. I swear this stuff is so good you will like it as much if not better than ice cream...
Next week going to work on the vitamins and working out. Someone suggested a pill organizer really helps them. By splitting up the vitamins 4 times a day they are easier to get down. I am going to try that. If I continue to feel too tired to workout at night then I am going to try early in the day.
Laugh of the week? I went out and bought all my "clean" foods and had my strawberries in the fridge. Now living where it snows you have to pay through the nose for veggies and fruits this time of the year. I went to the fridge to make my Fage yogurt and discovered my strawberries were all gone. Ok...I will do the cinnamon and apple one...went to get an apple and they were all gone. Have you ever seen a seen a WLS person trying to get back on track have a hissy fit? Well it ain't pretty My husband broke all speed records getting out of the house to go to the store and the poor man has had hip replacement surgery this year
So how was your week?
Have a wonderful BOTT weekend and get out and just move....
Take care,
Kathy

Good Morning!! Great post to do at the end of the week!! And that is so funny about your hubby having to run out and replace your fruit!! lol
My week was better for the most part but I have to break the night grazing/binging that I do.....
Work outs were great! Did at least 45 minutes four days so far this week and plan on getting and I got in my water and my supplements...fell asleep before taking my last calcium a few nights but did good with everything else.
Planning and posting my daily work outs and food intake is a great way to be held accountable and it also gives me ideas of some new things to try.
Looking foward to more improvment next week!
Have a great weekend.
Steph

Hi Steph,
You are here and posting and that is one BIG step my friend We will get there together
I too battle night grazing... Here is what works for me, if I have eaten breakfast with protein, mid morning snack with protein, lunch with protein, afternoon snack with protein, dinner with protein and all my water I find my Fage is just enough and I am not hungry and or want to graze out of head hunger.. Try this you will LOVE it!!!
Fage NF yogurt
SF Strawberry Syrup
Fresh Strawberries, banana's, pineapple (you can have one or all, it's up to you)
Muesli (like granola)
Scoop of Vanilla Whey Protein
Mix and YUMMY, I swear this is better than ice cream
I make all different kinds but my other favorite is
Fage NF yogurt
SF Cinnamon Syrup
Fresh chopped apples
Muesli
Scoop of Vanilla Whey Protein
Dash of Cinnamon
Mix and heaven I have arrived
I hope these help with your night grazing
Take care,
Kathy

I have done so much better this week. .. every day I have eaten at least 75 grams of protein AND 64 oz of water (some days 96oz).
It has really helped to have made the commitment to eat more protein... and write down what I have eaten.... so I know if I have had enough protein!
Kathy... I had to laugh about your comment that your hubby ate your fruit... my hubby does the same thing... so I have learned to hide my foods better in the 'fridge!

I had a terrible week. My husband was out of town and I was lonely so I grazed at night. I work in the school system and we had a snow day and that was terrible being home all day and night alone. I didn't graze on things I use to eat, but I'm sure I ate more than I should have. I didn't lose anything this week, I may have even gained a pound. I am so close to my goal, it is like I'm afraid to get there, I just seem to keep on sabotaging myself. I just have 10 pounds to reach my first goal then I would like to lose 5 more before I have a TT. I need help and encouragement to get back on track and reach my goal....PLEASE HELP ME!!!
I did have a success a minute ago, there is a huge cake in the office and I got a small piece, I tasted it then threw it in the garbage.
I love to Jazzercise so I do not have a problem getting my exercise in. If anyone reading this has never tried Jazzercise you should give it a try especially if you love music and love to dance. It is not hard to do and all that is important is that you show up, move as much as you want and smile. It is such GREAT fun. Of course I'm a little prejudice because I use to be a Jazzercise instructor for 9 years.
I hope everyone has a great weekend and and a successful week ahead. I'm GOING to have a good and successful week....I'm determined. I think posting on this website will help me a lot, thank you for starting this forum!!!

Susan

Susan, sounds to me as though you are making progress in the right direction. You may not have made all the progress you wish you had but throwing away the cake is a giant step forward. WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER! We all have a growing edge some place. I could never do Zassercise - just can't/won't allow myself to move my body that much - and in public - NEVER So be proud of yourself Be kind, be gentle, but be firm. You know, I often think if we have kids we expect them to mind us (especially when it's for their own good) and we sure don't give them the option of "voting" on whether or not they find it hard to mind, we just expect them to do it because we love them and know they need to do (or not do) this thing. Se be your own Moma and make yourself mind you.
Have a BOTT weekend. YOU CAN DO IT! i believe in you - now you believe in you. YOU CAN DO IT!
