Hello,

Check out this article, it's great...It may seem a little confusing at first but the formula works...

Hi Sharonne,

As others have posted in your thread, everyone is so individual and different.  That's my problem with the organized diet programs.  They treat us as all the same and give us their standard cookie cutter program to follow.  Surgery allows us to get back in touch with our bodies and do what is best for us.

I wanted to know my particular numbers too.  I took a resting metabolic test at my local hospital wellness department.  They pin off your nose and you breathe through your mouth into a tube.  It was for quite a few minutes.  It gives you the basic resting metabolic rate that is for you.  Any activity you do above and beyond that gets added.  My rate was 1,350.  I was surprised it was so low but I am 5'3" and at my lowest goal weight.  It has been great though to know in order to be able to adjust my intake.

The test was minimal at $35 and well worth it.  Check into your local health care facilities to see if you can get one.
